Henry Mancini - 1924-1994 American composer, conductor and arranger. Prolific composer of some amazing, atmospheric music mainly great film and television themes...
Enjoy these images from the French Riviera featuring St.Tropez and Port Grimaud set to this Latin-flavoured piece of music by the great 'Henry Mancini'.
The word 'Lujon' comes from a percussion instrument used in this arrangement. The composition is associated with the 'Mr. Lucky', but has been used more recently in various movie scores.
It has a steady laid-back Latin style like a warm breeze sweeping over a golden beach edged with palm trees; it is otherwise known as 'The Slow Hot Wind', or perhaps like in this case, strolling along soaking up the atmosphere somewhere on the French Riviera...

From the Album - 'Mr. Lucky Goes Latin' by - 'Henry Mancini'

I think of the countless swells we've surfed, end of the day, watching the sun set, tired, burned, cold beers and fresh fish.
  • Henry you are a genius. God how I miss you and what I imagine you would have composed next. R.I.P.

Sometimes in the evenings when I am sad or tired, I watch this video. Then I listen and dream that I am sitting there in a little Brasserie, early evenings, sun is slowly going down, and I have a glass of champagne... Thanks a lot for the beautiful pictures . Comme Dieu en France...
