'Not a bad choice': Harris has 'deep bench' of potential running mate picks

I'm a Conservative, and I have to agree that Vance did NOT remedy his statement well enough. Pray for childless? Have sympathy for childless? As if they are LESS THAN? What the heck is that all about?

I'm a teacher and I desperately want children, but I can not afford to provide for and take care of them, at this time. At least, I have my niece and nephew (the loves of my life), and the children I teach. I do not appreciate a man telling me that I have no stake in the future of this country because I have no children. Vance thinks he is the epitome of righteous family values. Who does he think he is to DEFINE family values for the country? Trump is already a horrible choice and Vance is even more so. We absolutely can not risk having them anywhere near power over this country.

I'm sold on Tim Walz - what a class act. He brings the goodness, the smarts, AND fiery energy that we need!

Every single option is excellent (my dream ticket for this election would be Harris-Whitmer), but I think Mark Kelly is the best option. He's a veteran, an astronaut, is very McCain like in his business (which Arizonans like). His wife, Gabby Giffords, is a very accomplished former Representative who has built herself back up after suffering severe brain damage from an assassination attempt. He'd help shore up Arizona and help Harris's ticket be tougher on immigration. Not to mention, Scott Kelly could fill his Senate seat and it would be like he never left!

J.D. is a phony. If you back families, how about get behind school lunch for all kids, or back family leave for parents with a new born. Trump and the guy that hates cats are just wierd!

Senator Mark Kelly is an astronaut turned Senator. He should not be considered for VP as he lacks real governing experience. Josh Shapiro was an attorney general and now a Gov. He would make a much better choice.

Tell young voters to register and vote! If many democrat leaning voters register and vote in the swing states, Harris wins. Simple.

I do not plan on voting for a crazy old man in Nov. With delusions about sharks, batteries and crazy movie characters. Trump is just weird. Going with Harris.

Josh Shapiro is the best choice to me because he’s articulate, effective, authentic and gives that mix of younger energy that the campaign needs along with being the Gov. of Pennsylvania. Lastly, that Pennsylvania Mayor is awesome.

How did Vance ever get elected as Senator? Folks, think about the implications of your votes.

Wait... What do you mean "one of the older candidates on screen"? Walz, Kelly, and Pritzker are the same age as Harris within a few months. Cooper is the oldest. Whitmer and Shapiro are in their early 50s, with Buttigieg and Beshear in their early 40s. Doesn't Sanders, who's the same age as Biden, still polls high among young voters? I think it boils down to who adds to the campaign and reach voters on the fence about whether Harris will work for them.

I would like to see Tim Walz on the Harris ticket. I didn’t know him at all, in fact I only had seen him talk throughout the week lol. I knew all the other potential VP picks but it’s something about Tim’s demeanor and style that I like to hear. His record, again I didn’t know him till now is pretty good in his state. He seems to like school children because he has that program for all of them to eat, is that so terrible? Don’t fall for the rhetoric coming from the right, these policies work for the people. He said it best, they’re weird. I have a more abrasive opinion on the right but I don’t want to get banned from YouTube.
