What if I told you The Eagles were feted to break up from the beginning? This is the Crazy story of The Eagles. From lawsuits , fights on stage and multiple band break ups. This is one band that experienced it all.

(Am well aware that Glenn Frey's death was NOT 2006, a mistake was made in the voice over during edting. You'll notice the timeline of everything before and after is correct)

  • They say that nobody is irreplaceable, but Don Felder is the exception to that rule. Big time!

In my opinion..Eagles could make it without Joe Walsh..Don Felder is a great guitarist and his work and contribution in Eagles songs are phenomenal..in fact he's my favorite guitarist for the Eagles ✌️

Why does it seem that Don Henley would be about as much fun to hang around with as a box of rocks.
  • I love Joe Walsh and Don Felder, but saying the eagles were “nothing” without either of them is crazy…walsh didn’t even come on until Hotel California in ‘76, which was AFTER they sold the greatest hits album, so they were already the greatest selling American band of the ‘70’s before walsh even entered. And Felder was a huge contributor to the band, I wish it could have worked out longer with Felder and Leadon together because their creative teamwork was unparalleled. Leadon also doesn’t get enough credit for his contributions to “Desperado” which in my opinion is their greatest album

Always been struck by the fact that after the "ego twins" fired Don Felder, the well of creative music dried up. They hired guitar players to replace him, and they could reproduce his music, but they could never create it and so they lived on what had gone before for years. It's the musicianship of Leadon, Felder and Walsh that gave the Eagles life. The lyrics to most songs don't amount to much without the music to carry them.
  • Each time a gifted musician joined the Eagles, Henley was fearful they would take too big a position. Frey almost the same. MEisner was the greatest voice of the Eagles, and Felder the greatest guitar player and music composer. Henley and Frey could not take the threat.

Don Felder n Joe Walsh wer awesome on guitars n Randy Miesner had a awesome vocalist
  • The Eagles stopped being the Eagles when Glenn passed. I love Vince Gill, but he's NO Eagle.

Did you notice the common denominator in the departures of Leadon, Meisner and Felder? Glen Frey. A great talent but not the easiest to get along with.
  • Sadly, Frey died from his emotions. He had a bowel disease that, in my experience, is caused by anger and stress. Or at least made much more worse by it. That did him in. Ego is a terrible thing once it gets out of control. Felder is the opposite. Not an angel, but he is still touring and looks great. Bottom line in the Eagles ripped him off. He made the Eagles a rock band instead of a country band and saved Joe Walsh from his drug habits. No honor among the thieves of Don and Glen.

Felder had an iron clad contract as a member of the Eagles. He must have been given a boatload of dough in the settlement. They mentioned 50 million, I bet it was closer to 100!

If you look at the videos from The Long Run album, Only Timothy B. Schmidt looks like he wants to be in the room.

Notice how the eagles never did anything worth listening to after they fired Don Felder. Karma is a bitch served very cold.

Frey, Henley and Felder were equal 1/3 partners in Eagles Ltd. (was 1/5, but Meisner & Leadon relinquished their shares when they voluntarily departed). Frey & Henley then wanted to edge Felder out during the reunion and take a big cut of his stake, in order to gobble up more money. Felder defends himself from getting screwed (per the legal agreement) and instead of them honoring the legal and moral agreement - they fire Felder for having the nerve to stick up for himself. Frey & Henley were just money-grubbing pompous bullies. Azoff showed favoritism and is the manager for only 2 members of the band— not the entire band. Atrocious arrangement that just was totally shameful and against Felder. Henley couldn’t “Get over it” like he loves to proclaim.

I remember a prominent American musician saying that Don Henley's voice was the difference between the Eagles and the rest.
