INFORMATION ABOUT CIRS:
If you aren’t healing and feeling MUCH better after six months of eating this way, I would encourage you to look into other possible causes.
A quick intro to CIRS: chriskresser.com/5-things-you-should-know-about-to…
A link on the protocol to surviving mold exposure: www.survivingmold.com/legal-resources/12-step-prot…
The CIRS vision test that I took (and failed): www.survivingmold.com/store/online-vcs-screening

One way to order the CIRS labwork: www.nutritionwithjudy.com/shopping/lab-work/chroni…
If you think you have CIRS, but you aren’t able to afford the treatments, eating a carnivore diet while also getting extra sun exposure and eating omega 3s (seafood!) does help some people to feel relief from symptoms. Removing yourself from an environment with mold and avoiding excess environmental and dietary toxins is never a bad idea, but I know it’s not always an easy fix. And if none of that gets your symptoms to go away, PLEASE know that there are ways to make the Shoemaker protocol more doable. THERE IS HOPE, and you don't have to be a millionaire to find healing by using this protocol. ❤

  • I listened to half of this video this morning as I sat on the couch contemplating making a cup of coffee and I paused the video and I went for a 5 km walk and now I'm sitting on my front porch having my coffee.

Remember Hogan's Hero's? You should call your tribe, "Hogan's Zero's" as in zero carbs...
  • One year in, 64, and feeling great. I have experienced all of the symptoms, including oxalate dumping, hives, runny nose, diarrhea, etc. Throughout the journey, I have never thought of quitting. I eat beef, pork, eggs, and some dairy. I love the tips you suggest when cravings come up. I just had surgery, and my surgeon was amazed at my recovery. I owe it to the carnivore WOE. I ate a ribeye as soon as I came home. Thank you so much for being a beacon in the carnivore community. I also follow Dr. Chaffee, Dr. Baker, Dr. Boz. and Dr. Berry.❤ Carnivore is life!!

I like burger patties too! What I do is use my patties as my bread replacement. So it’s patty, bacon, pickle, cheese then top with other burger patty.. it’s my quick go to!
  • @amymckay7241
I take bacon on airplanes! I went to an awesome Irish restaurant in Butte, Montana last month, and they had snacking bacon on the appetizer menu. That’s my new name for it.

I’m going carnivore soon. I don’t know what’s stopping me. I am keto (about 5 months) and not quite all of my symptoms from schizophrenia have cleared up. It’s definitely improved, but it’s not perfect yet. No hallucinations or delusions, but some intrusive thoughts. I hope carnivore will clear this up! Also, I love to eat too Kelly. I’ve been an eater my whole life.

I'm nine months carnivore. I enjoy my cup of coffee with heavy cream. No where near getting rid of it. I started to oxalate dump after eight months. Sally Norton also recommended lemon juice in mineral water. That worked perfect for me.

Do not under eat. Especially if you are someone that is really concerned about losing weight. You might think you will need to watch your calories on carnivore because that's what you are used to on the standard American diet. Under eating will just make you feel hungry all the time, sink your energy, and slow your metabolism. I was intentionally under eating for months and I started feeling really bad and carb cravings came back, not to mention that my weight loss slowed. Once I started just eating as much as I wanted and didn't worry about it I started not only feeling much better but I started to lose weight again without having to starve myself. It's nearly impossible to be overweight on carnivore. Just trust your body.

That dopamine one is WILD!! When I first went keto (I'm carnivore now) back in 2020 I kinda got into this weird thing with online shopping. And NOW I'm wondering if it's because I shopped online when I was craving carbs and stuff in the beginning lol. It makes so much sense after hearing you explain the "seeking mode" and dopamine being up during that time.
  • The part about the dopamine hit brought on so many lightbulbs!!! I’ve done the transfer addiction to shopping and Oh My God! If I was eating right I’d be on shopping overload. If I had the shopping under control I’d be eating crap. Back and forth for years!!! (Before carnivore). But even on carnivore the shopping thing happened because I was soooo on track. But holy crap…. What you said about choosing what you want to be addicted to blew my mind!! I’m going to start that right away!! Thank you thank you thank you 🙏🏻. I’m so honored to be in your group! Your authenticity is everything to each and every person in there!! Thank you for caring about each of us the way you do!! It makes all the difference. 🦋

If anyone can motivate you, it's Kelly Hogan. Great video Kelly!
  • When I go to Aldi (weekly), I buy anywhere from 12-20 boxes of their Appleton Farms pre-cooked bacon. I get looks from other customers and from the checkout people, but I don't care. I do share some of it, but even if I ate it all myself, so what? It's delicious. It's cheap. It's convenient. The only other food that's comparable is beef jerky, but it's WAY more expensive, doesn't have enough fat, and it's super hard to find one that won't break my teeth or have sugar. Purse Bacon for the WIN!

So interesting. Yes I swapped my carb cravings for clothes shopping without realising it. This happened when I struggled with fasting. So I’d tell myself when I was in town and felt the urge to buy chocolate and pastries “I am fasting today so I will reward myself with buying this dress - not with sugar” then I’d buy the dress, feel great and walk home with it telling myself “you can’t put a price on health” for the money I’d spent and then for some strange reason later I found it easier to get through to the next morning still fasting. I need to think what I can do for carnivore cravings 🤔
  • A favorite bite size snack is brown butter bites. Brown your butter, Pour into a silicone candy mold that has small indentations. Mine is about 1/2” square. I kept them in a glass bowl in the fridge, just grab a bite or 3 when I’m having a craving or in between meals
  • Great tips. I don't know why it never occurred to me to get frozen burger patties. Duh!! And that seasoning really is very good!
  • @missygee6155
I was addicted to diet soda myself. I was using it to replace sweets and yet it never worked and I believe it was the cause of my joint pain as well. I found that not only are sucralose and aspartame obesogens, they destroy the gut as they are pesticides!
