Isolated in the pure serenity of rural France, an abandoned house stands spellbinding and mysterious. Once a joyful home to Mrs. Hélène and her family, it has become a haunting tableau of yesteryears since they vanished without a trace in 2017.
Once these dark rooms were filled with the laughter and love of Hélène, her husband, and their children, including a daughter named Patricia.
The family enjoyed collecting various items and richly decorated every inch of space: from a giant collection of figurines, possibly hand-made by Hélène, who had a passion for sewing, to all kinds of mementos. In the blossom of their life, they loved to go on trips with their camper van across their beautiful country. Yet, everything stands eerily silent now. It is a bizarre sight. Family photos, rooms filled with decorations, and valuables remain untouched, making it hard to believe this former home is even abandoned in the first place. Nature has slowly begun to reclaim the home, adding to its enigmatic charm.
What made them leave? And what happened here? That’s what we’re here to investigate today. Join us on an adventure into an abandoned time-capsule house unlike any you’ve seen before.

I know it would take time but somebody needs to collect them up and maybe donate them to a museum. What ever happens, this amazing collection which is clearly the life's work of one lady should not be left to decay or destroyed.

Guys, if you look up the address online, you might be able to find names of owners or those who lived there. Also, if you look at the bottom of some of the figurines, you might be able to see if the collection was from a particular artist or if the person who lived there actually made them. It would be wonderful if you could find a family member who could claim these treasures. Thaqnk you for sharing this with us.

I think these people really enjoyed life. Thanks for the great video. I always appreciate how respectful you are when you explore. ❤

Wow!! The collection of dolls is incredible! They look like historically accurate costumes representing every occupation in a certain period & place - whole villages of people! Amazing! I think they have almost all been made by one person - the style is so consistent. They are so amazing they could fill a museum by themselves! Thank you guys for another wonderful explore!
  • So sad, I wish you could find out more about who lived there and what happened to them. Maybe someday you can look into all the history of the places that you explore and let us know. That could be a whole new video series.

The figurines resemble the handmade French “Santon” figures made of clay, wood and fabric. Originated as Nativity figures, but later depicted persons in everyday life practicing their trades or profession. Very collectible.
  • Sunt papusi hand made din mixt ceramic lemn si textil, lucrate in Franta prrin 1970. Au o valoare de la 50 USD bucata. Colectia e impresionanta, probabil unica
  • This is the cutest and cosiest house ever!!!! Love allll the valuables left behind, and all the liquor bottles. And the figurines, just AMAZINGGG!!!! ❤❤❤

I confess that I still co-own my family home with my sister. It is way out in the country. Her career took her permanently to a city hours away from it and she only goes to check on it once or twice a year. I lived there until at age 69, when I moved across country, 2,000 miles away from it, to live with my only grown child and his family; and it has been 7 years since I was there. My sister has no children. We do pay a nearby neighbor to cut the grass and keep a working truck on the property so that it looks like someone is still living there. Life takes us away from our roots sometimes, like it did my sister and I. But we pay the taxes on our family property every year and, yes, there are cobwebs inside and it only gets a brief cleaning when my sister goes there a few days each year. . . . . .
  • YES!!!😮. ALL those figurines are so beautiful and very valuable ❤️. They should have a place in a museum somewhere ☺️☺️. No other living relatives?? What a shame 😢

Amazing diffinate doll creator, Plus she loved collecting props to go with dolls small tems like the animal figures to create vinyettes . And passed on the same love of collecting to her daughter. Maybe also the son, after serving in war came home as a grown man . Maybe he wanted a little more priacey. You know not to say he lived with his mother?.So he created place in barn garage area. I had sy her husband colected all bar thing bottles etc. Maybe when they traveled they would shop for the things they love. I as a doll creator am always searching for small figures to set with my dolls . Like cats and small dogs and miniture items. To craete the whole look . Theraults Doll Auction would sell those dolls in minute if they were in US. Loved seeing them .😍Thanks you guys hope you find what happened .
  • I hope that the owners will come back and reclaim this place. So many things that hopefully brings back happy memories.

Start searching for the son’s military records. Maybe someone could locate him, if he is still alive. It would be a nice closure to find out what happened so suddenly in 2017 that this home was deserted.
  • @d.parisi
Maybe the couple died at the same time i.e. car accident. Or maybe they died close together. If you know their names you could search the obituaries. Very intriguing place. Thanks for bringing it to us. Take care!

What a Beautiful place to be left unloved! Those dolls are worth well over 100 dollars EACH. I have a few, Stockinette dolls from the USSR, and they are worth quite a bit, but THIS collection is HUGE! I've missed you guys, so good to see you together!

Thank you for your videos. I love to watch. Your soft spoken voice blends well with the narrative as you express the curious wonders of everything you are sharing with and showing us. I appreciate the respect you have as if the owners were giving you a tour of their precious belongings. You seem to have a feel of what these things may have meant to them. Thank you so much for sharing. ♥️
