Five years later, who is still listening to this set besides me? Jason is a songwriter of a generation.

I was at this show. I remember leaving, thinking, "I'm pretty sure that's how church is supposed to make you feel."
  • This has to be one of the best examples of recorded concerts I've ever seen. All the instruments are perfectly mixed. It's shot beautifully and edited wonderfully. What a great job by the crew on both teams.

The Isbell/Vaden dueling electric guitars during Never Gonna Change is an iconic moment and we all fortunate to have stumbled across this recording.

Dear God, he's so good at everything. The songwriting is both powerful and meticulous, his vocals heartfelt and emotional but still always spot-on, and he's a great guitar player, but knows how to keep it simple when the song calls for it. Even his mic technique is good. It's so rare to hear someone someone bring this level of craft, artistry, and combine it with deep insights into the human condition.

Didn't know it was two hours when i first clicked it. Two hours later I am restarting
  • I'm new to Jason's music but it feels like every time I listen to him his performances really matter. His heart is in everything. It's so evident, appreciated, and admired.

I'm nearly 50 and kind of have felt this age since I was 26. Color me grateful to see such genius songwriting in my lifetime and to see him in concert in a few months. Mark my words folks, young people in 50 years are going to be covering isbell songs like young people have been covering Dylan and Leonard Cohen forever and will be until we're all dust. This is the best art can get. Thank your lucky stars to be alive right now to see it. Bless this young man for all he does and is.

I watched this three times today. Making quarantine bearable.

I’m from North Alabama, been listening since The Drive By Trucker days and I can Honestly say he is a part of this place and a part of who we are. He speaks to my soul. Thank you Jason Isbell for everything. You truly understand The Duality of The Southern Thing.
  • Today I discovered this man and this woman, today is a good day. God bless everyone on Earth. Music is God's gift to us all.
  • @ZackHarold
I love the cheering in "Cover Me Up" after Jason sings about getting sober. We've lost too many beautiful minds to a romantic vision of mental illness/addiction. Here's proof positive you can be happy and still make great art.
  • @GregHalvorson
Every song Jason sings is fantastic…  Real country, real Americana…. The antidote to Nashville.
  • @codyhousleygolf
This should be released as a live album. It's perfect. Band is tight. Voice is perfect as always and Amanda is there.
  • My son bought me Southeastern for Father's Day a few years back and that was me hooked. Have seen Jason and the band several times since in Glasgow. So grateful I did something right in bringing up my son to appreciate great music.

I am still listening to this concert even today! I wish I saw it live, what a show!

I can never get through a Jason Isbell show without tearing up and dancing to exhaustion at least once...sometimes in the same song.
  • @davidpoirier2504
He is truly a great American musician who is finely getting some of the credit he deserves!🎵🎼
