As a veteran camper, a couple options to throw out there: 1: put (cooked) rice on the bottom to absorb the liquid and flavor the rice 2: make sure to put the foil packs in ziplock bags so they don't get broken in the cooler and leak raw chicken juices on everything 3: instead of actual foil use those disposable foil trays. They're sturdier and can stand up to fire better, plus can act like a plate after cooking Happy camping everybody!

Canned Chicken. Many years ago, my wife and I were sailing a boat from Mackinac Island to Detroit. On day two of the voyage, the captain/owner of the boat pulls out a whole canned chicken wrapped it in foil with some vegetables and seasoning. Cooked it up and served it with a loaf a bread. Best (and only) damn canned chicken I have ever had. Bon appetite!

I'm glad you mentioned canned chicken from Costco. I have five cans sitting in the cupboard for some time (not expired) as I was not impressed with it the first try (I just mixed it with Hellman's). Sam, if you could, please do a video/recipe whereby I can use it, as I don't want to waste it/throw it away. I think canned tuna is better, except for its mercury contamination. Thank you so much!!
