the no sad/cinematic music makes it so much better, just his voice and knowledge

He was ahead of his time. He was something very special. He saved me.
  • Alan Watts is a doubly pleasure to listen or/and read: a philosopher par excellence and an irresistible orator.

I only ever feel like I'm in touch with the real world when I'm running. And I'm miles away from anyone, amongst nature, I'm knackered and I just stop. Birdsong, weather, my body trying to catch a breath, the air and the stillness.....thats the real world for me. A rarity

I love this man. I could listen to him all day. Instead of forcing you to hear his views he forces you to think.

    I am zen = I am one = I am whole = singular = zen = one = completely tuned with nature’s rhythms.

Love how there’s no annoying motivational/mysterious music going on in the background. Cheers for uploading this ❤
  • If you're watching this and you haven't ever given meditation an honest try, you really should. I downloaded a guided meditation app 5 years ago and managed to stick with it. Now I don't need any guidance, and I enjoy it so much! It's often the highlight of my day. (Note: Get an app or a teacher and do it for at least a few days: meditation is a skill, and you can't expect yourself to be competent in a new skill the very first time you try it.)
  • my god that is a gorgeous sunset, the reflection as it dances on the waves is mesmerizing

Wow this is me. My insecurities ruin shit. I self sabotage relationships because of past relationships. It’s a vicious cycle. I need to break it.
  • @ianm8170
He could read a recipe and I'd feel relaxed and emboldened with knowledge
  • Another absolutely fun passing interlude with lovely Alan Watts = scholar / intellectual / historian / realist / teacher / bodhisattva = The sheer playfulness of Alan's 'essential isness' may well be described, on the verbal plain, as what surely is ever-delightfully enjoyed as perhaps a truly 'embraceable' Man For All Seasons... !! 🤣 Thank you Scott Ocean for this pivotal little ditty that "doesn't mean anything but itself". 💋
