  • Are my eyes deceiving me? Actual history on the history Channel, and not a 24 hour marathon of "pawn broker Ice truckers"

Every American needs to watch this!! Every school age child too!
  • @johnnybuxton1106
They should play this in the senate and congress at least once a month until ALL of our representatives know it by heart!
  • @dano727
This is what The History Channel should be showing on TV !
  • Can we take a minute to appreciate that this was narrated by the late Richard Gilmore?! RIP 🙏
  • @JAKFLY28
THIS is what a History Channel should be 😊
  • @scwps23
This is what our children should be learning in public schools during class.

Documentaries like this is what the History channel needs more of. We need more like this American Revolution documentary

Its so nostalgic watching these documentaries. After schoo in the early 2000sl, i would go home, put on the history channel and play Age of Empires. My PC was right next to the T.V. Man those were the days!!
  • This is my second time watching this and every second of it remains compelling and amazing. My 5th great grandfather took two of his sons from Paxton, MA to Concord, Lexington and then Cambridge in April 1775. Every Memorial Day I put flowers on his grave and those of his descendants. This is the first televised history that is truly well done and thorough. It brilliantly shows the risks and hardships of our courageous ancestors. We would never have grown up in a country with the opportunities and freedoms if not for their incredible sacrifices. If searched different sites to see if this series is available on dvd but couldn’t find it. There are many series and movies but not this one. It’s simply the best.

John Adams is one of the most underrated of founding fathers

Im actually in tears, I remember watching this on TV when it aired, it was this documentary which made me fall in love with history and the Revolution
  • @ZelbeQahi
I’m Apache and love American history! The intricacies and details are important. The Founders had amazing insight and foresight. The idea of refusing a King is brilliant and risky but we did it! My people were included in liberty whether we want to admit it or not.

History is repeating itself. Freedom is worth fighting for. Especially for the founding fathers. Dont give it away !
  • @geekvinos
4:20 am, smoking a doobie, thinking about how grateful i am to be a part of this great country.

I honestly think John Adam’s defense of the British soldiers in their trial after the Boston Massacre is one of the most underrated and unappreciated moments in the American Revolution. A devout Patriot (not as fanatical as his cousin, Samuel, but still vocal and devout) successfully defended British soldiers who were accused of maliciously firing into a crowd. It just shows what the American Revolution was to be. Not a Revolution at the mercy of the mob, but one of law. I’m not saying the Revolution was void of political violence. But when compared to the likes of the French or the Russian revolutions. The American one is very tamed and was mostly fought out in the battlefields.
