What's The Best Track in EVERY Mainline Sonic Game?

Honestly I think Amy's Lagoon City act in Superstars has a really underrated soundtrack.

Oh also seeing Mystic Caves for Sonic 2 just gave me a smile! Very underrated zone. There's a Mania mod on PC that adds new design and Tee Lopes music to it as well (though the graphics are not upgraded as much compared to the revisited zones in the official game).

Still thinking Superstars has more replay value and qualities than you're giving credit for, but I'd recommend first modding a PC copy with a soundtrack and camera mod available from GameBanana. That alone boosts the game a full point easily IMO (out of 10) compared to 'out of the box' or on console. Since you already beat the game to review it, I also think it shines brighter in Time Attack mode, since you'll just be exploring the level designs for routes and nooks and crannies and not have the pacing interrupted by the bosses. (Though the soundtrack mod does give the bosses some killer music!) As for my favorite music actually in Superstars, I'd probably choose either Pinball Carnival Act 2 or Sand Sanctuary. Mania I agree, Mirage Saloon Act 2 is an absolute gem often overlooked in favor of Studiopolis but they stand toe to toe. The new music in the new zones absolutely makes you feel 'there' (in a way half of Superstars missed the mark on).

(Replying here) In that case I agree and I apologize for sounding a bit argumentative about Superstars earlier. I definitely would rank it between Sonic's 1/CD and Sonic 2 myself out of the box, which is a disappointment after 3&K and Mania, a two-tier drop. I mostly just wasn't aware until today (when I saw the tier list video) that even Sonic 2 was only in the middle of the ranking and 1/CD were relatively low, and I feel in a way I misjudged what you were saying about Superstars being disappointing as a result. Also I really liked that tier list as a whole, don't have consoles for Unleashed but I agree Adventure 1 still ranks among the best outings and is superior to its sequel. My prrsonal top four probably would in fact be Generations (plus Unleashed Project), 3K, Mania, and Adventure 1 in some order, since I haven't played vanilla Unleashed.

If you were to actually rank Superstars and Triple Trouble 16 Bit (which you did a video on) on your Sonic game tier list, what tier would they go in? (You had CD at the bottom of C, Sonic 2 at the bottom of B, 3K/Mania were in S.) Personally I'd give Superstars a C tier (but a B if modded on PC, still I guess that is a disappointment after Mania being in S now that I think about it; I wasn't aware til I watched the tier list video just now that 1/2/CD were ranked not that highly!) and Triple Trouble 16 Bit an A tier.
