Roadside Assistance Scene Setup

Publicado 2024-07-08
Providing Roadside Assistance to stranded motorists is fun, it’s very rewarding and an important service to help people get back on the road safely.

Safety is everyone’s responsibility and we recommend that all roadside assistance providers equip their service vehicles with flashing safety lights visible from all angles.

Example: Just like in most states, in Texas anyone can use amber flashing lights on a vehicle. But in addition to amber lights, in Texas blue lights can be used by roadside assistance personnel while actively assisting stranded motorists on roadways or at the scene of an accident.

Your safety and the safety of your customers is important and by equipping your service vehicle accordingly and carrying traffic safety cones to setup at the scene for additional protection you can help ensure that other motorists see you better and easier to help avoid accidents.

Although when using flashing lights not all oncoming motorists will merge or slow down, you can tell that the majority do slow down or merge compared to not having any flashing lights and cones.

Lights and traffic cones are a great investment for every roadside assistance tech and we recommend them.

Check what color lights you can use in your state.
