This week on Scrambled we're headed to South Africa, specifically the KwaZulu-Natal region. While shooting tonight's episode of Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted on an incredible game reserve, Gordon was able to get his hands on some ostrich eggs and decided to whip up an Ostrich Scrambled Egg dish with some South African Flair. And if you want to make this egg dish, there's a recipe below.

Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted airs Sunday's on National Geographic Channel! Catch up on the show here: on.natgeo.com/2lTaCVW

He screams when he's indoors but whispers when outdoors.

They cut out the part when Gordon fought the ostrich for the egg.
  • For fun, I actually bought an ostrich egg and made this. It was really good. Being able to watch him cook it in such a straightforward and easy way made the whole process of cooking that giant egg much less intimidating. On the off chance you're reading this, Gordon, thank you for helping me make such a fun and memorable meal.

I, for one, would love to try ostrich egg in the future. It looks so rich and heavenly, not to mention just one egg would be enough to feed 6 to 8 people! Equivalent to 2 dozen eggs! That's amazing! And I think I'll try and recreate this amazing dish for my dad, with the lovely ushatini on top. Looks amazing!

Ostrich egg: I'm big 'Tablespoon' of Buttah: You haven't met me yet
  • Gordon in a 4x4 kitchen: screaming Gordon in open nature in South Africa: whispers
  • I remember when I was still living in South Africa, there was this farm where they would show ostriches and their eggs, and I can now say that Gordon has even more respect from me now for even getting into an ostrich egg. I’ve seen those things support the wait of multiple 10 year old children

I love his laugh at the end :D Sounds like a cartoon villain

When scrambling an ostrich egg, the most important thing to remember is, let the hacksaw do the work.

“Just a tablespoon of butter” Puts the entire stick of butter in
  • When I cook I can't cook without listening and watching Gordon Ramsay cook he is a true inspiration to me and always will be for many years to come

He looks like he's rushing to cook the egg before the momma Ostrich comes back.

the nod in approval by the game keeper is priceless! LOL
  • As a native Louisianan, I would love to see his idea of boiled crawfish.. You honestly can't go wrong with too much of anything in boiled crawfish. I do 3 jars of Pro Boil with whole garlic cloves, onions, andouille links, lemon halves and mushrooms, potatoes, etc.

People criticize this man but what they don't realize he is so incredibly passionate about what he does the number of comments “He's a bully” is bollocks there are clips of him being shouted at and screamed at on youtube when he was just a whipper snapper. He took it on the chin an any behaviour that people today call it bullying it was just fuel to feed the fire to him that is why he is best of best. He is very successful chef at what he does anyone that says what they think about his cooking is either full shit or pathetic in way that they've never been critiqued in life as most folk are often too precious.

"a tablespoon of butter" this is Gordon's equivalent of the meme "just a shot of vodka"
