I am at my childhood home. Here is a great place for many bird species. Thety come here to eather rest og nest. So its a great place for bird photography. I luckily found a shorebird called little ringed plover. This is a bird I did not photographed before. And my tactic for my success was to stay in one place, rather then walking around looking for it. I pulled my camo blanket from Tragopan over me and waited. And suddenly the bird appeared in front of my 600mm lense.

Hi Trond another lovely video to watch so soothing and feeling at peace with the world which is pretty hard these days. Once again such stunning images and the dear was a great opportunist image. Until next time take care and stay safe my friend.
  • The ringed plover that we have here in the spring is what we call at killdeer. Some call it a killdee. It looks very similar to the one you photographed so well except ours has a red eye ring. I got lucky and got a photograph of one in flight. It was like trying to photograph a bat with all the jinking and zig zagging.. Your shot of the roe deer in mid leap was a winner, Trond. That doesn't happen often. Congratulations.
  • Another wonderful video Trond . Reason which I like you so much is you are not only able to shoot great pictures but honestly show efforts behind the scene. Keep it up pal.

I also agree my friend that staying in one place and waiting for the particular target species is ultimate patience game but chances of success is very high because nature never disappoint you if you love with nature ❤ i personally follow the same rules
  • You realize your posts are so hypnotic and soothing that they are going to put a lot of therapists out of work!
  • Great video Trond :-) staying in one place and not disturb the birds/animals is the best. I agree :-)
  • @BullitTom
Brilliant images as always Trond, loved the running roe deer too
  • Hey Trond, i agree... staying in one place definitely gives opportunities. I have found if you try to fallow or(chase) it you end up stressing out your subject and the video or photo look less natural. Beautiful shots of the Plover! Good thing no one was using the road, they might have mashed you since you were using the camo! 😉 Greg

I must admit I have been very lucky with the Ringed Plover . I had one in flight last week . A good wingspan for such a small bird . Patience and staying in one spot pays off again Trond well done 👍
  • Great video! Stunning little bird…totally agree they are amazing birds! Love the teal ducks too!
