Here is what I used:
Floorboard timber 20” x 20”
30m copper speaker wire
1515 pf variable capacitor (dual gang)
Originally I had 20m of wire on the loop that worked well for Medium Wave, but I wanted to improve Long Wave reception. I am no expert but know LW takes more windings on a ferrite rod antenna than MW so I decided to add an extra 10m of wire on the loop.
It has made the loop more resonant on LW and will tune the top end of the frequency as demonstrated on 270kHz.
The recording was at 20:30 UTC in the East Midlands U.K. using a Panasonic GX50 receiver.

Do you have schematic of the antenna, to get it resonant in the longwave band? I have made also a medium wave loop antenna, and would like the possibility to get it resonant on longwave with same coil for medium wave.
