  • Chiitan doesn't even sell anything. I'm all for it!!
  • Chiitan was fired from being the mascot of a town and just decided to become some weird pro-Japan influencer instead, she is connected to some corporation but I have no idea how they profit off her twitter ads.
  • I will explain what Chiitan is. There is a concept in japan called yurukyara that are often town mascots meant to promote local tourism in rural areas. Kumamon is the most famous example. The original chiitan is a real otter from a small town on the island of shikoku. They also had their own otter mascot named shinjokun that was official. Chiitan the mascot was made by a private company to help promote the town too. However, after several complaints came in about pole dancing and death threats, the town distanced themselves from both the real otter and the mascot. I think chiitan has become like an influencer, due to their fame, making money on social media. Shinjokun is still the official mascot of the town. I hope this helps!

When I get a twitter ad, I get either Chiitan or an ad to donate to help Walter White.
  • I only get ads for concepts. Like I got an ad last night for a burger. Not for McDs or Burger King literally just the concept of a burger
  • @w00rmz
Chiitan is the best agender fairy baby, I adore him, he is wonderful
  • Last time I checked Chiitan was not an official mascot of Japan. They used to be kinda affiliated with one town, but were then deemed too violent for even loose association. There's a good John Oliver episode on them
  • I fucking love chiitan. I wrote a whole essay about the yurukyara concept and well, its a whole rabbithole. Jarvis do a whole video on crazy yurukyara pleeeeeease
  • "Which type of dollar? Because if it's Australian, it's like, yen" As an Australian who can no longer afford anything... OOF.
  • Please be nice to Chiitan. Ive been a big fan for years , im so glad theyre famous now
  • chiitan, japan's crazy mascot son or random guy buying ad space to talk about his day daughter
