I get it, I should’ve listened to the studio version! This wasn’t an issue in my first video but I will take note in my next Pink Floyd reactions, you can stop commenting it now 😂 Much love!
  • TIME. One of the greatest songs of all time, from one of the greatest albums of all time, by one of the greatest bands of all time.

Yes, Pink Floyd's music is personal as it hits each person differently and possibly similarly as well depending on your life experiences. It doesn't even have to be the first time hearing it, could be a different feeling as you get older and listen to it.
  • Put on the full Pulse gig, turn up the volume, lay back, close your eyes and let it flow through you.

This song takes you from birth till death and time waits for no-one
  • The long intro is speaking literally to the opening line 'ticking away, the moments that make up a dull day'
  • The essence of time is to appreciate the little things that truly are the things we love. However you must work to have the pleasure of old age and that is when we really understand that appreciation and warming your bones by the fire is so inviting to a tired old man.

From the PULSE live collection, please experience SORROW, and also RUN LIKE HELL. Every song (yes, EVERY song) from Pulse is excellent.

[9:19] "There is one particular part of the lyric that I feel like is very 'my life'..." aaaannd she has figured out Pink Floyd. Pink Floyd is introspective, it's about life, and death, and mental health, and indulgences, and overcoming childhood trauma, and on and on. Pink Floyd if f'ing DEEP . And timeless. If you're learning about yourself, and plotting your way through life, you will catch pieces of songs, and they will spark introspection you didn't expect. And understanding. And the composition is stellar, as is the musicianship. Since the members are writers and players and not performers, they learned early on to use lights and props to generate visual excitement. Giant pink flying pigs. Yes. Giant pink flying pigs. The Pulse light show is in-freakin-credible. It took so long to set up and tear down that they need two fleets of trucks with two sets of equipment and two road crews to leapfrog across the country preparing the next venue while the current shows were going on. Every time they cut to the big view of the arena you gasped. Yeah. Pink Floyd. Should you listen to the studio versions first or the live versions? Yes. Whatever the F you want. There are no rules, make yourself happy. Ignore scolds. They are wrong for scolding. Except the Golden Rule. Don't interrupt Gilmore's solos. There is a special Hell reserved for...
  • Thks song is so deep. And it written in their 20's. I wonder now in their mid to late 70's how they think about it.

I'm always ready to listen to my most favorite group of all time. Thanks for reaction.

The Dark Side of the Moon is one of those albums that's best listened to all the through. Not all songs are equally great, but it has a real flow to it. The song after Time, The Great Gig in the Sky, is my favorite from the album, but mostly for the studio version with Clare Torrey's fantastic vocals.

Any first experience is a first experience and this concert in its entirety is phenomenal in its production and quality. Yeah you will have people say that you need to listen to this or that (take it on board) but also this is your experience and watching someone hearing these amazing musicians for the first time is the coolest. Pink Floyd are true artists and are more than just sounds.......... Feel the soul, colours and atmosphere they create and enjoy.

Listen to Comfortably Numb from Pulse concert 1994 also Sorrow from same show

I’ve hypothesized that the Pink Floyd intros are designed to put the listener’s brain into a pre-determined state. For instance, in “Time” the alarms, bells and chimes confuse the brain and basically causes it to do a ‘soft’ reset. The next section slowly rebuilds a sense of order so that by the time the lyrics begin your thoughts flow in sync with the music. This technique can be found in many Pink Floyd tracks. “Shine On You Crazy Diamonds” is one of my favorite examples of this. Pink Floyd music is ‘timeless’ and will stay popular for many years to come. Thank you for your enjoyable video and enjoy your journey with this band.

Backing vocals on this track are immense.

Pink Floyd is the best thing that’s has come out of the UK in 2000 years.

Most of Floyd's songs have long intros, and also an amazing guitar solo by David Gilmour. He has been performing for almost 60 years. Now at the age of 78 he will be touring again and releasing a new album in September. Please check out "High Hopes" from the pulse concert. To me, it is the most beautiful song ever . If you want to see him today, please check out "Between Two Points". He does this song with his daughter Romany Gilmour. It will touch your heart.
  • Alan Parsons also has a song called "Time" that will bring a tear to your eyes.
