My wife and I tried watching it last night and fell asleep in the second episode. Nothing happens. Maya is completely unlikable, and the cinematography is full of confusing decisions. For example: every time in those first two episodes that Maya talks to Fisk he has an ASL translator with him, and the scene is lit so she is coated in shadows. The way the scenes are presented suggests there is a reason for it, but unless the show goes off the deep end (such as she isn't really deaf and is only imagining it) I can't imagine what it would be. The fights are TERRIBLE as well. Actually worse than the leaked clip and full of ramping to try and hide the fact that nobody makes impact with anyone else. Maya on her first 'day on the job' fights Daredevil and does better than anyone else ever has with absolutely no justification.

The horribly forced introduction of Echo and the new Black Widow in Hawkeye played a large part in me completely giving up on the MCU. But it was the treatment of Kingpin in that show that most frustrated me. They utterly wasted a great character and actor.

I can't wait for the doorman from the Fantastic Four gets his own show 😂

These shows keep getting stupider. Loki, She hulk, Winter soldier, secret invasion and now Echo? where will this all end? it's like a bad dream...Marvel deserves better.

Echo sucks so bad. I had to stop watching in the middle of episode 3. I don’t think I have the will to finish the season.

A show about an unrepentant assassin? Her mimic power changed, the ability to speak removed, and one of her legs removed? What could possibly go wrong? She is absolutely unredeemable with the murder count she has. The Daredevil scene was edited in post-production. Dardevil ran away after the fight too...😂. Nope. That was added in to draw in DD fans.

The MCU should’ve ended in 2019. It’s a continuity that’s gone on too long. Same with The Walking Dead from AMC. Too much content.

I have zero interest in this show. I'm a HUGE (Netflix) Daredevil fan - but I won't watch this kind of garbage from Marvel anymore who believe that virtue-signaling is more important than story, plot, and character development.

Isn't it interesting how in all of these Woke releases, whenever they want to artificially drum up fan interest by bringing back an actually POPULAR character, it's always a MALE character? Kinda kills the whole girl power narrative, doesn't it?

They've been using the mobile game Marvel Snap to introduce these new whamen characrers in the form of OP cards.

As a comic/graphic novel fan of both Marvel and DC, its such a fucking shame that my beloved characters I grew up reading are being turned into laughing stocks. Kingpin was a menace...until Kate Bishop. Daredevil was a badass...then She Hulk happened. Is it truly a crime to want to see beloved characters true to their source instead of some washed up fan self-insert?

Stopped watching these poor excuses for Marvel shows after Enfys Nest appeared in Falcon and Winter Soldier and haven't given them another minute of my time. I know I'm not missing anything with this Echo show (whoever she is).

The first book was awesome, even though the Chinese names drive me nuts. I started the second book and so far I am not impressed because it seems to contain a lot of drawn out information about the characters. But I still have hope it goes back the the same level of book one. Our video is however somewhat disheartening. I thought that even Netflix couldn’t ruin the story since it so detailed in the books. I’ll start watching it but right now I’m not looking forward to! Bummer!

I was stupid enough to give What If S2 a chance! 🤮 I’m not watching this Echo crap. I already know it’s bad and it barely has a plot anyway and not worth binging 5 episodes of. Disney should go back to licensing Daredevil The Punisher and the other shows to Netflix and get more checks in the mail from them putting them on there. Disney- and Hulu- ain’t worth a damm, and Marvel Studios and Kevin are terrible storytellers! And they don’t even hire real comic fans!

I think when representation is your top priority, your show or piece of entertainment will suffer for it to some degree. Echo suffered because of the above, and they should've tried harder to write a good show instead of propping up a character that should be challenged more by who she is.
