The black and white scenes that everyone were worried about turned out to be some of the most iconic shit I have ever seen. Just incredible
-
After hearing how great this film is I really want Denis to make Dune: Messiah and finish the trilogy.
-
This is the greatest cinema adaptation since Lord of the Rings. A perfect marathon material once the series are finished

Think this is one of the best movies I have ever seen...a must-see for this year. Villeneuve has managed to fluently condense a giant story and various plots into part 2, and not one casting seems out of place. The sound is (as expected) incredible, thanks to Hans Zimmer for going absolutely apeshit.

As a huge fan of the book, it has been incredible to see Dune be adapted to such a high level of quality. I have not been this excited for a film since LotR.
-
Given how much of the first film was exposition and table setting it's promising to think about what Part 2 has to offer.
-
As someone who read the books as a kid in the early 80's, this is the film version I personally have been waiting for.
-
One of the best sci-fi movies I've ever seen. From the seamless CGI to the cinematography, it feels real in a way that very few epics of this kind do.
-
This movie will definitely be the Empire Strikes Back for a new generation.

The best news I've had in a long long time was when I heard Denis Villeneuve was set to direct a "Rendezvous with Rama" movie, it's my favorite book of all time and his visual style is basically the perfect fit for it. If anyone could make that movie work it's him. I don't much care for any of the sequel books, so hopefully he'll just stick to the first one :)

Finally, someone who knows how to review a film WITHOUT spoilers. Thank you.

Best review you’ve done in awhile, thank you for taking the time to give your own detailed takes on what happens in the film. Convinced me to go see it in the theater.
-
One of the things that stuck out to me in the first one was the conveyance of scale.

I am so looking forward to seeing Dune Part 2. I feel like a kid during the week before Christmas. And I'm 57.

How lucky I am to have been born in 1965. Saw Star Wars 30 times when I was 12. Close Encounters the same year. Wept at the end of E.T. to start the 80s, then saw every film of note in that astounding decade, and there were so many that are now classic. Then a brilliant series with LOTR, Then the whole Marvel thing. Now the genius of a new generation of film makers where the universe is their cinematic playground, and it feels like things are taking off again. I'm so excited for this movie. Cannot wait for Villeneuve's Rendezvous With Rama and beyond. I say we start a petition for Villeneuve to step in and rescue Star Wars. Seriously.

The first film was entertaining, but felt very much like a set up. This second film is pretty fantastic. There's not a lot of movies being made that feel as grand as this. I also have to give Chalamet some credit. He really stepped up in this movie. Fans of the novels may be put be off by some deviations. But to focus on that and ignore this movie is silly to me.

There was word going around that Dune 3 would be an adaptation of Dune Messiah and I think that would be a perfect cap to a (hopefully) perfect trilogy

Chris was ahead of the curve in highlighting Denis Villeneuve early on such as the video exploring 'Enemy'.

I'm very excited for Dune: Part 2 and for more Feature Presentation videos! Keep'em up, I love those videos!

Man I'm so glad the movie is good so you can actually talk about it and give us a review! Didn't expect anything else from Denis.
