This situation is being played out nationwide, the nation is lost and it doesn’t even know it.
  • It's funny how Britain and America is more worried about Ukraine's borders than they are about their own ??? .
  • It’s only a matter of time before all the hotel rooms in this country are occupied.
  • So, the security guard said that what is going on in the hotel is a secret and he can't tell you why you can't book a room. It would have to be one of the worst kept secrets in the UK. They might as well put up a sign twenty feet high saying 'Afghan refugees staying here'.
  • Great to see the tax money is not wasted on homeless war vets
  • @matube73
I bet some homeless people might enjoy having a nice warm room to stay in.
  • There are approx 25,000 “ Asylum seekers” in hotels in the UK and the government is spending £1.2 million a day to house them.
  • do you All really think that ALL the student accommodation, getting built in Cities ALL over the UK. Is for students??? Really ???
  • Where are the women and children? Why is it just young males?
  • Meanwhile the councils won’t house British born homeless people 😒
  • @idaslpdhr
Amazing that the taxpayer can pay for refugees in a hotel with 3 meals a day, but can't do the same for our own homeless, and they wonder why people are sick of the BS
  • words fail me , what a country, 1000,s of homeless sleeping in the streets , think I,ll go to france come back over in a dingy and live for free in a 4 star accomodation,
  • @liftfan2
Maybe someone could do a FOI request to the Home Office to ask which hotels they use for refugees.
  • these MPS are disgrace what they have done to this country one day they will pay

Six floors with 28 rooms per floor = 6 x 28 = 168 rooms in total... not 628. Not that impressive. The daily costs of 250 GBP per room for stay, meals, security and renovation of the hotel comes to 168 x 250 = 42.000 GBP... or 294.000 per week... or 1,26 million per month or 15,33 million per year. Like the roundabout of Swindon this is magic!
