I am binge watching your videos since I discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago. As a consequence, I got rid of random junk, decluttered my kids' toys, junk drawer, bathroom, kitchen, organized our cabinets, shredded old paper clutter. Now it takes me less than an hour to clean my whole apartment, and my laundry is done daily. Thank you!

We don't have pantries in the UK either. Having stocked up massively a few years ago, I spent a year eating out of date food, never again. Now my one food cupboard is half empty, mainly eating meat, cheese and eggs so there's zero waste now. Feels freeing to not have to manage stored food.

in Philippines, pantry is not a typical part of the house. most household lives in a community where you can easily buy what you need. and we call it sari-sari store. it’s a small grocery that allows you to buy a small portion of your needs at home.

Big fan of your decluttering videos❤I love it when you show the trash bags at the end to display how much progress you’ve made!
  • I watched you empty the dishwasher, with things going right to their designated spot, no need to move anything or to interrupt the flow. That's what decluttering is for. I am getting there too & it does feel good!

Your totally normal, and people who say not nice things tgey are in denial. You are right, along with the rest if us it's totally hard to keep up on things! Love how real you really are.

When my cholesterol went high I started the South Beach diet per my doctors recommendation. I ate bacon/eggs every morning, full fat salad dressing on my salads, ate meats/lower carb vegetables and my cholesterol went down FAST.

I live in the south and me and my husband decided to renovate a strange room extended from our living room into another room, this room was similar to a den but we already had a den with a built in fireplace so we decided to add to the wall and close it off. This room was weird, I’m not sure what it was originally meant for but it had a cut out walk away, about two standard size doors wide, and a door off to the back of the room that connected to the dining room and kitchen. My home is an open concept with the exception of this room. We closed it off and added a door to the frame that was already there so we use it as an extension to the kitchen as food storage, a deep freezer, extra appliances, extra kitchen supplies, extra paper towels, cat food/dog food; things like that. I call it my pantry but it is definitely a bedroom sized room but with no closet inside. I for sure know this room is unique but it’s is so useful as we do not have a garage or a basement or attic so the extra storage is necessary and with it being inside the house and just another room, it’s safe for food of all kinds and we store everything on ikea Billy shelves, I have about four of them for food items, and one for tupperware and kids travel cups and lunch boxes.

I live in São Paulo, Brazil. Here is not so common to have a pantry, unless you are very rich and live in a huge house. People normally keep their food in cupboards. But for sure is a dream! Btw, love your videos! ❤

Hi Catherine! I don’t have a big pantry just a couple of cabinets with pull out shelves. I would love a walk in pantry one day! I totally agree with you that cleaning is so much easier with less stuff! It makes it so much more enjoyable too! Hope you are having a great week!

Love the refrigerator and the light warmer thingy.

I live in Canada. I'm 62 years old and have lived in several places in Canada and the US. I've never lived in a place with a pantry. I think the need for a pantry has to do with the rise of snack foods. My parents never bought them, I never bought them for my kids, and we don't buy them for ourselves.

I live in the states and have never lived anywhere with a pantry. My family had to get creative with the space we had in different kitchens. Now that I'm married, we don't have a pantry, so definitely have to improvise. Maybe one day I'll get a pantry 😅
  • I used to have a full walk in pantry that was huge! Our new house doesn't have a pantry, just some cabinets we can use for food... It's the one thing I wish we had in our new house!

Hi! I live in Portugal and i do have a pantry, but use it for other things. Food goes in the cupboards. Here's a tip - empty your packages to regular garbage and then recycle the package. I use a platic bag, empty everything into that and throw it away in common garbage and the recycle the packaging. Hope it helps!

I feel like making videos about how to avoid having to declutter all together and address the overconsumption in our society would also be helpful. Especially from moms? I feel like every other video I see is decluttering and destressing but do we actually know how to avoid that stress to begin with?
  • @melissamcguire8980
Love your videos, Catherine! ❤ we shop for a week or two as well we don’t bulk shop since it’s just the three of us (2 adults, 1 toddler). Your pantry is massive compared to ours! We live in a condo and we have no pantry, so we designated 1 cabinet for food that’s probably meant for dishes 🤷🏻‍♀️

I switched to a whole foods plant based (wfpb) diet last year (no meat, no dairy, low/no added oils) and my total cholesterol dropped 20 percent, ldl dropped 40 points. No meds, just changed what I ate. Forks Over Knives has a great website and recipes.

hey girl! you can definitely remove that sticky stuff with just a heat gun or blow dryer! this method is also useful for removing stickers from secondhand treasures! hope this helps!
