  • Im temporarily homeless so this helps alot. One of the the best survivalist/bushcraft/camping channels on youtube. I made an a-frame tarp lastnight and have another tarp and thick foam pad as a bed, along with a 30°F sleeping bag. Right now im working a job and nobody knows im homeless. Money goes alot further like this and this camping bushcrafting is really growing on me so that i dont know if i would actually want to get my own place when i have the money. Lol. Im an unconventional homeless guy because i dont use drugs or drink or steal but i work and keep my clothes and self clean. Plus i stay clean shaven and comb my hair in such a way that nobody would suspect im living in the woods.

I was impressed with the stick that guided the water to a point at the end of the tent. Great idea to start the fire. Loved the food idea. I liked the tent idea. Great show.
  • If you allow me, I would like to make a suggestion for the future. With this outer tripod you can get rid of the inner post, there will be even more space and there is no risk of kicking it and knocking it over your head :) I tested after watching this material in May.
  • When my children were babies and still in school we lived out near the lakes in Utah mountains all summer. Only left camp twice a month to wash clothes and resupply . My son's and I fished while my daughter roamed the woods nearby camp. Now it's me alone in camp. But I I'm happiest out there in nature all alone
  • Jeeeeez Shawn, you made that tarp look like a manufactured tent. Well done brother!🤙🏻🤙🏻

Even though i am now too old to do this, i have to say, having done this in my younger years, that your channel, Corporals Corner, is one of the best, why? Because you actually take the time to explain what shelter, etc, you are going to make and how you are going to make it along with all the items required to make that shelter. Then fire, very important as i love to watch the Food cooking aspect of these videos as well. Im an ex British Soldier of the '80's living in the Netherlands and really enjoying your posts. Keep them going please.
  • You make this look easy. Your knotwork is phenomenal. I spend most of my time alone in the woods, outside. Way in the woods.. I overnight.frequently. Your gear is amazing. Thank you again for your help in the understanding of the art of bushcrafting.

Now this is video every beginner like me needs to see. At 50 years old I’m just now getting to enjoy stuff like this, and i need all the help I can get. Thanks
  • I love that tarp configuration, also the water collection setup. Awesome video.
  • @Nooflyer
You teach me things that others don’t mention plus you explain it. Love this channel so keep it up. I already have my tarp tent ready in my car btw.
  • @ERLong-ww7yn
Really enjoying your videos. I have to say, though, after reading all the negative comments, you have a lot of viewers who have never "been there, done that". If they had, theyd realuze why you do many of the things theyre questioning. Thanks for keeping it real. Hats off from the deep woods of Canada

That collecting rain water brings back memories 😂 i remember when we almost got dehydrated on our hike on a volcano..we ran out of water and energy to go back to the water source that was really far.. Thank God it rained we managed to collect rain water from the tarp😂
  • I recently started watching “bushcraft” videos and wondered what I have been doing with my life up to this point😏… sir, you are a wonderful teacher and I have been watching your videos like they are going out of style! I have been a country boy and an outdoorsman my entire life, but I have learned so much in the last few weeks! Thank you for your service and calling to educate! Keep em coming brother!
  • I love the level of instruction you always provide. Outstanding AF. Don't see many shows how to do this in the rain. Well done.
  • Semper Fi Brother.. did my 8, still love hiking and camping the way we were taught.. ignore the haters and trolls..remember shit wipes off. Good job as usual. 👍
  • Thank you for your service, sir. My boyfriend is also a USMC veteran (Sgt), 3rd Battalion 3rd Marine.
  • I’ve always wanted to do that tent without a center pole in a field. I love the oversized tripod. Excellent as always
  • If you can stay cheerful in that lot, you would be right at home over here in the UK
  • I was a Boy Scout Leader for 20 years and I never got used to camping in the rain. Bitter cold was fine but not rain.
