Broccoli requires cross-pollination to create seeds. Pollen must be transferred, by insects, from one plant's flowers to another. Honeybees are rather perfect for this job! πŸπŸ˜„ After harvesting the main broccoli head you can leave the shoots to flower for the bees and then even collect the seed for next year if you want.
