Published 2024-04-07
I think you will be as shocked as I was at this technique. I really didn't think it would work and then all of a sudden I was shocked at the results. This resin experiment was a shocker for me and will be a total game changer.

I've used stickers in the past and just do a quick topcoat
  • they are all lovely but i love the one with the blue flowers and the water slide dragon well done steve anything you do is fantastic keep up the good work
  • @kristajones815
I kept thinking you needed to use a squigee on the water slides. Air bubbles can get trapped so bad under them. I use water slides all the time with resin and they work so awesome!
  • @LW89838
I have been using water slides for years and prefer them to stickers

Becoming a member was the best thing I have ever done. I have met the most brilliant people and have gained so many great friends and some very best friends. It truly is the best place on FB. Just like Steve McDonald is the best YouTuber on YouTube.
  • @LisaVornhagen
Those all look great, but the waterslide (in my opinion) came out better. Love the little dragon! Very cute.
  • @miniscenesgb
Nice one Steve. I've always loved using waterslide stickers in resin. And on Eco Pour too. Great fun
  • @Coyo-Tea
I am surprised you wasn’t sure the water slide would work Steve because they are basically temporary tattoos. ❤
  • @vir9002
I went through a sticker phase, ran around getting old used coasters and plopped a sticker in gave a thin over coat, works great!
  • @hollyclayton6762
Hey Steve! These worked better than most already printed ones for me. I had rin out of ones I had used for a popular item I was selling, and found this paper as a solution. It saved me a lot of money and stress. Brilliant video, loved it!
  • @Julia68yt
7:20 Try applying the stickers with a bit of (soapy) water, too. Then remove all water&bubbles by pressing it down with tiny squeegee.
  • @katrinao
Temporary tattoos are also good for resin and eco pours. Resin you can put them onto the mold and the resin picks them up fine. But then you need a top coat to protect it. Ecos you need to put them on after demolding 😊 With the sticker just a top coat like the temporary tattoos would help with that

I love making and using waterslide stickers in resin - my cricut gets a lot of use for this!
  • @SleepinBee
I pour the clear first then put the waterslide on. I’ve used them on trays when I’ve not had enough time to paint design on. Works really well
  • @StaceyG57
It works! I’ve tried it myself and they come out beautifully. Just need a topcoat afterwards to keep the water slide protected. 😊
  • @ixykix
I find the printable vinyls are absolutely brilliant for this - really keep the colour well and don't bleed in the resin
  • Hey Steve was thinking of buying you a coffee machine a look cheaper 😅 yesssss I have a Tassimo & the lattes are so good 👍🏽 love your work 😽 Very Creative yeah 🖼️ love K4ttt ❤
  • @barbseed4434
This technique is so cool. I've not wanted to get into the whole Cricut thing but have wanted to use images that I can't draw. This opens up immense opportunities for me. Thank you Steve, you are the best😊
