What Happened to GOT7 - How JYP Entertainment Lost GOT7

G7! GOT7! The icons themselves are free to do what they want! But do you think GOT7 should have been promoted better? Or leaving JYP Entertainment is the better outcome?

This is the first time when a group leaving their company isn't the end of their story but the beginning .

This was the smoothest I've ever seen a group leave a company, they seem so chill about it

let’s not forget that jackson wang turned down a scholarship offer from stanford university, just to go to korea and be a trainee!

Damn imagine being an Olympic athlete AND and international pop star.. Jackson deserves more credit 👀

Their potential will never be a question. GOT7 is the FIRST kpop group to get #1 in the Billboard World Charts on their DEBUT album and first kpop group to enter the Artist 100. Their potential has always been there, but because of JYPE's bad business decisions, they had to be their cashcows instead of being promoted when it was most crucial. The fact that they were able to get this big in an industry this vicious is nothing short of a miracle already. Leaving JYPE promoted them more than all 7 years of being in JYPE and ahgases are ECSTATIC about it. Our boys are free, successful and solid, to survive 7 years of struggles against JYPE we grew stronger together. "GOT7FOREVER" is more than a hashtag, it's a fact.

Jyp and Jype will regret for treating GOT7 like trash. I'm so happy that they left jype now they'll have more freedom and can focus on their solos and can do group activities too. GOT7 didn't lost anything after they left jype because they didn't need the company but the company needed them and also I see keep people saying GOT7 is disbanding which is NOT true, they aren't disbanding, they only left jype.

"got7 had the potential..." got7 STILL has the potential.

Such a shame, GOT7 is a talented group and it was just wasted by that company. All we have left is to look forward to their new things and support them. 💚#GOT7FOREVER

Watching this almost 7 months after they left, and it's insane how much GOT7 has been able to do as solo artists since leaving JYPE. I think their success as soloists shows how much their old company truly held them back.

I really want GOT7 to drop an album titled “What JYPE wouldn’t let us release” just so I can buy it out of spite

Despite having poor promotions and mistreatments, let’s admit that these 7 guys did a great job on their own. Being the most chaotic yet one of the most talented boy group in Kpop Industry is no jOkE.

I tried to imagine bambam in stray kids and I couldn’t, that then brought me to tears because I realised how perfect Got7 are for each other

I think this needs another update. GOT7 is breaking the mold left and right. Jay B signed with Jay Park’s other label H1GHR MUSIC, two albums from BamBam and Yugyeom, Youngjae’s musicals, Jinyoung getting acting offers left and right, Jackson got Amber Liu to join his label, Mark signed with CAA

if got7 had received the same focus and importance the company put in girl groups, GOT7 would be massively more popular than present!!!! They are still the most talented, honest and good looking Boy Group with no loopholes!!!!!

investors even called got7 the “flagship boy group of jyp”. they’re such an essential piece to jype yet they didn’t give them proper promotions as a group or let them have creative freedom. got7 is a group with 7 all rounders and it’s not common to see that in the kpop industry. for a long time ahgases have been telling the company what they’re doing wrong and they never listened to us. they lost one of the best groups in the industry. now got7 is free and i hope people continue to follow them as they start pursuing their solo projects and move forward as a group.

Now “pulling a GOT7” is used to refer to groups that are mistreated by their companies and should leave together. If this isn’t legend behavior

I'm an old lady in America and not very knowledgeable about GOT7, but the If You Do MV hooked me deep in my heart and has been there ever since 🌝
