  • My hot take is that I’m sick of there being no more original mario games on the switch now
  • @Giorex
I really think that Mario 3d Land is the most underated 3d mario game. Recently I bought the game before the eshop closes and I am really enjoying it up till now. I expected someone to talk about it but nobody even mentioned it. This shows that its really underated and not many people have played the game

14:07 "her backstory isn't like invalid now" tell that to mk8's baby rosalina
  • 0:37 THIS is what a hot take looks like. I’ve seen some of you guys’ “hot” takes and they are freezing cold. More of THIS.

If Mario and Sonic do an actual crossover it should be an rpg like Mario & Luigi since if it were a platformer ,switching between Mario and sonic would be very hard since of their different gameplay styles

My Mario Hot Takes: Super Mario 3D Land is the most underrated 3D Mario game. I was expecting it to be in this video, and it wasn't even mentioned. I love the game a lot. It has one of, if not, the best Mario soundtrack, and the gameplay and personality of the game gave it a unique charm that no other 3D Mario possesses as it actual played like a 2D Mario game in a 3D environment.
  • 7:37 I think it's better if wario and waluigi serve rival roles in main line stories then main villains. As they are now I think it would be more in character for them to ethier be fallowing you or you so happened to run into them while theh where looking for something. As the no longer have the presents needed to be big bads of a whole story.
  • @MajestiBrown
15:05 I completely agree. I played through 3D World once, but the Bowser's Fury part is what I come back to every year.
  • I feel like just because Alphadream went bankrupt doesn't mean that Nintendo couldn't re-hire some of the original developers.
  • @coltonk.3086
10:46 either they’re equal or I agree. The movie designs are spectacular, the only reason people could still actively dislike them is because they’re different.
  • Personally I completely agree with the thumbnail. I don’t hate Odyssey, I just really like 3D World.
  • @blueboytube
The movie designs combined with the animation look absolutely amazing! If they could somehow convert the same kind of energy of the animation to a video game it could look amazing with the movie models

i agree Super Mario 3D world was a phenomenal game It was one of my first video game experiences, up there with little big planet and Minecraft, so there is a lot of bias there, but my opinion still stands. the levels are fun, the cat bell controls amazingly, several secrets and Easter eggs, tons of replay value and great post game content, bopping sound track, pretty reasonably difficult, the graphics hold up so well. I love this game, and it will always hold a special place in my heart.
  • The homebrew Luigi version of Mario 64 on the 3ds was making me smile recently. It aged well and is super fun.
  • @GameBlock_
Loved the video! Also thanks for including my comment at 8:21 :)
  • Bro some of the best memories I have is playing 3d world during quarantine with my friends, we would stay up until 2 am and we were so tired so everything we said was funny to us. Unfortunately we only got to 100% the game once because when we were about to finish the game for a second time my online membership expired and we just stopped playing after that.
  • @pyraswolf4263
Although Bowser's Fury is one of my favorite Mario games, and i've replayed it (100%) 3 additional times (all of my saves are 100% complete). I think they nailed the 3d movement and exploration. As much as I love cap bouncing and the flow in odyssey, I'd want the next 3d game to be more like Bowser's Fury, because its just so fun and beautiful. I did 100% odyssey though.
  • My hot take is that games that are relatively shallow on launch but will have free updates in the near future (like Nintendo Switch Sports or the mario Sports games on the switch) shouldn't be considered "unfinished" games. That practice is actually not evil. It's a genius compromise between delaying a game and rushing it out. Some people want to play games sooner rather than later, so delaying it will upset them. Others want more substance in their games and would rather wait to play them. The big crucial detail is that these games aren't actually buggy messes like Sonic 06 and pokemon Gen 9. What we get is well polished and enjoyable. So calling them unfinished is kind of a lie. It is finished, but we'll get more of it for free later. Minecraft does the same thing, and nobody complains about that game being unfinished! Using this method, people have the option of getting the game right away or waiting for the free update. If you want it now, you can have it. If you wanna wait, go right ahead. That doesn't mean that the game is bad or that it's released unfinished. It's simply a way for the developers to finish the game and release it on time without rushing it! They aren't evil for doing this. They're just being smart and trying to make everyone happy. We're all just too stupid to realize their brilliance.
  • Hot Take: I like the Mariokart Wii battle stages like chain chomp roulette and thwomp desert that people crap on, but i wish they did more stages like that as it felt so chaotic
