Rebecca Ferguson was amazing in this role. She was born for it.

It would be totaly interesting to have a conversation between Reverend Mother Jessica, Reverend Mother Helen Gaius Mohian and Vladimir Harkonnen. I would have paid for it. :)
-
Everyone assumes - per the book =- that Jessica had a son out of love for Leto. But Gaius Helen Mohiam says she did it out of pride and ambition. Watching Dune 2 I think she may have had a point.

She is everything ❤
-
Honestly, in the 1984 Dune, Francesca Ennis was a fantastic Lady Jessica, and she doesn't get talked about enough: but Rebecca Ferguson is even better over these two films. 👌
-
My favorite character from her first second on the screen ❤️
-
I loveeee how muffled her voice always is! It's like asmr

I must say out of the 3 actors who played Lady Jessica, Rebecca will go down as the greatest one. Going from Hot Milf in the dessert to Evil Witch prophet is a hell of a change.
-
Little thing but I love how after she goes through the Spice Agony, Villeneuve/Fraser/Zimmer use all the traditional movie visual and musical cues of a villain when Jessica (and later, Paul) is on screen. The sinister music, ominous lighting etc. She's the devil on Paul's shoulder and Chani, the angel. I also like how (hopefully not giving anything away) this perhaps more strongly draws Paul's arc in Messiah as one of redemption.

She is so powerfull, omg😱
-
THIS IS THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN!!
-
That is great! I would love to see more Dune edits by you. I think Reverend Mother Gaius Helen Mohiam would be an interesting character for one

"A mind powerful enough to bridge space and time" I know he can access all memories of both his female and male ancestors while seeing the future, but can he actually bridge space?

Excellent edit

Blessings on the hand of women! Fathers, sons, and daughters cry, And the sacred song is mingled With the worship in the sky-- Mingles where no tempest darkens, Rainbows evermore are curled! For the hand that rocks the cradle Is the hand that rules the world. - The Hand That Rocks the Cradle Is the Hand That Rules the World, by William Ross Wallace

check the end of dune part 1, there's a scene where her facial expression changes.

“We’ll be waiting for you.” “ALL OF USSSS”

So in the end they had to twist the drinking thing as well. Not his realization anymore, instead outright told to drink the water of life. Subtle changes but I'm getting slowly fed up...
