I like how this song's background, Destiny, is supposed to get you pumped up for a battle in-game. Such a paradox.

And then 11 years later I learned that this melody have lyrics. For me that melody was something that got me crazy every time I started a battle, many of them look heroic in my memories

every time you attack a settlement "Alright! I love to hear this song when the game is loading, time to kill some heretics!" you finish the game and the song comes with lyrics "... hold the fuck up..."

I am 25 years old and have listened to this one song in Medieval total war 2 for the majority of my life. I was 11 when I first heard it. That's 14 years before i found out there was lyrics. This could be greatest morphing of present and past.

What I really like about this song is that it shares the same leitmotif as the song that plays when a battle's about to begin, Destiny - there's something beautiful in the fact that the same song that you've been hearing throughout the whole game on the precipice of a battle is heard one last time at the end of the game as you both celebrate your victories but also question whether it was all worth it...

Mate this is emotional. My first M2TW campaign as England was pretty much defined by a 200 and something turn long struggle against the French and Milanese. I finally won out in the last 20 turns and conqured them both but this makes the "success" seem so hollow.
