If anything could ever be this good again

  • Dad died today. 1:20 am. A five day battle with brain cancer. I played this song for hours on a $49 dollar acoustic guitar beside his death bed. He couldn't talk but I know he could hear. It was the last song he ever heard, and it was an honor to play it for you. I'll miss you forever dad. Edit: Your comments saved my life. Thank you. ;
  • When I was younger, my dad gave me his mp3 player, it had over 15 miscellaneous foo fighters songs, Everlong was saved as “Track 03” and it became my favourite song and it still is today. Edit: in case if you want to know, I still have that mp3 player Edit 2: thank you for 100 likes

    About 6 month ago my dad abruptly passed away. Ever since then I play this song daily so that I can feel like he's with me. I miss his so much. This song makes everything feel like it'll be alright.

    There's something about that intro that just pumps you up no matter how many times you hear it...

    My grandma lost her battle with cancer two days ago. She was the most kind and loving person I have ever known. Even when she was in pain, fighting for her life, knowing her death was inevitable she still cared for her grandchildren and made sure they were alright. This song painfully reminds me of her. I miss you grandma

    This song is so calming. the comments make me tear up, reading what everyone has been going through, family and more its always something wholesome. its calming to listen to this song for hours and read the comments, this song helps me actually feel something, ive been struggling to eat and leave my room and really do anything and i cant help it and it actually makes me feel free and makes me want to do the things i dont think i can. Ive only found this song about a week ago and ive listened to it so many times its just different. i love this song. I hope everyone has a great day, And thank you all for writing these comments. ❤

    I remember my Dad throwing a FF CD in his car right at the start of lockdown, 4 years later it's still in there. We were lucky enough to go to the first London show last month, and I'll fully hold my hands up and admit that I cried. 5 times. Dave is a true showman and he has a lyric for every emotion in the book. How can I be blasting the same song before a race and during heartbreak. I'm 18 and I'm already set on this to be my first wedding song. Happy that whatever, I'll always have the car journeys as a teenager with my dad bottled up in these songs.

    Just read the news about Taylor Hawkins passing away… love to watch this again because him bursting out of the bed /drum kit was such a memorable part of this video. Rest well and much love to Dave and the Foo’s.

    When my brother died of leukemic cancer, he was wearing his headphones with his eyes closed and a smile on his face, this song was ringing on his phone. Whenever it sounds or I listen to it again, it reminds me of that scene and I wonder "If everything could ever be this real forever If anything could ever be this good again". Miss you Chris You have no idea how much i miss you
