Lyrics

we’re separated by a margin of a greater degree
the same flesh and blood but in a different lane
i read the remedy too but my words, they still sounded the same
when we were young
we thought we had the whole world figured out
now all we do is speak in tongues
we play a losing game
only now we hear the shouts fading out
we flew into the sun
i’m dedicated to the shadow that’s been following me
it caught me counting the cards
i guess the rules remain
oh it was heavenly then
but the devils were calling my name
is there something in your eye?
did you fall or were you just on a high?
everybody’s so afraid they could die
but they never once said
thank god we’re alive

  • Petition to get all "Live at Alexandra Palace" video series to be on streaming platforms Edit: Sam has never sounded better live
  • So tight, and those funky dance moves from Mr. Carter are fucking unreal lmao
  • As good as the studio version, and this song is a banger
  • @dinokovac
2:50 I'm on the left with a phone, only white t-shirt!! An unforgettable night. T//S🖤
  • 2:28 WOW. To the person that produced/film this part: AMAZING JOB. This was definitely the best gig and night of my life. Thank you to anyone that was involved <3
  • @tyler_bby
I did not expect to see myself three times in this lol but here I am. Great night 🖤
  • @Jt7166
I hope the quality of this means they are going to release the whole show 🤞
  • Architects of masterpieces. Architects of hearted songs. Architects of metalcore. Architects of our hearts.
  • @Bot6sechs
This could be an official music video… well done.
  • Being able to hear that underlying lead guitar in the chorus much better than in the studio recording honestly changes the mood a lot. Appreciating it much more now!
  • @Deniz_Ce
Sam's vocals are insanly good here, he nailed every single Note!
  • @keith4801
My brain is sludge, it has absolutely melted. Guys, you need to release a live album, and whoever produced and mixed this needs to be who does the live album. I do not think I've ever heard a better live mixed audio track. FUCKIN' DO IT GENTS! This shit is fire!
  • Your live performances is as good as studio version thats what I love about architects
  • I’m starting to think that Architects might be one of the best bands of their generation.
  • What a fucking showman, man!! Fucking love this band. For everything they've shared with us. For the opportunity to grieve with them. For the honesty and sincerity in their lyrics. Can't wait to see them in Montreal.

2:22 is probably one of my favourite Architects moments. So fucking epic scene and riff. I like it aaaaaa lot
  • the sequence from 2:00 and onwards is soooo goood Sam walking upstairs, panning to Josh then the Tom Searle flag before the breakdown. So many things that just encapsulated the moment, amazing work by the camera team you elevated this song to a different level.
