I had to help this tiny parrot after a blind lady accidentally incubated it's egg

A fairy tale that actually happened: A blind lady who loves incubating quail's egg for other quail enthusiasts suddenly heard a different kind of bird sound coming from her incubator. The little cockatiel inside the egg was in good shape, but because of her incubator's humidity settings his membrane had dried out and it was impossible for him to exit his egg. A little help was needed…

  • I rescued a baby cockatiel that was 2 weeks old. Hand fed him and he grew into the sweetest, kindest soul. He lived to be 22 years old and I miss him every single day.
  • "I named him Muppet, I'll show you why" when I saw it, I fell off the chair, haha! 🤣
  • This man's gentleness and love brought me to tears. I once raised a kitten from a day old, The vet said he wouldn't take it. I kept a written hour by hour record of how I brought him up. The vet photo copied it and used it. I hadn't a clue what I was doing but played it by ear. He lived with me for 10 years, and it broke my heart when I lost him

I appreciate Muppet’s transition from a nice chirping toddler to a screeching teenager trying to fly
  • That is incredible, the power of hearing and the fact she can recognise these birds from their sounds is incredible! This video melted my heart 🥹

Well, that’s a friend for life. So glad he’s with you and not somewhere getting his wings clipped.
  • Omg…that’s your baby! You saved his life and he is absolutely Amazing ❤. So are you!

I love that he’s making the lady’s bird enclosure larger. She is a fellow animal carer that deserves it! Amazing to be able hear the different birds inside their eggs!
  • I love cockatiels so much! I adopted one when he was 8 weeks old. By the time he was 6 months old, he could talk. The first thing he learned to say was “I love you little bird”! 💗He will be 20 years old in August 🥰
  • FIRST FLIGHT 🎉 Only folks who have raised birds from naked to feathers know that proud feeling. Its the same feeling as when your kid walks to you!
  • So glad you helped the overcrowded birds get a larger, better home.

The blind lady is amazing. Her love for the birds is genuine straight from the heart
  • From the very fact that a tiny sound alone from an unhatched chick amongst so many eggs was enough for the lady to realise, to the care that went into helping Muppet, and now to hear that the lady's aviary setup will be made better accessible for her? This was the wonderfully uplifting story I needed <3 What wonderful people, and how strong their love for birds is!
  • You can hear them chirping inside the egg…wow! How this gentleman was able to raise such a tiny and delicate creature with such loving care. My hat’s off to you, Sir! Great story.

Not gonna lie. I cried. I love my cockatiels more than my own life. Seeing this one grow up made me so happy. Thank you.
  • That's a baby dinosaur if I ever saw one! 😆 Baby birds are the best. I'll never forget the first time my little dino stood up on his own for the first time.
  • Never in a million years would this chick have thought, "I'm stuck. I'll just wait for a GIANT to come save me.' Seriously. What are the odds? NEVER GIVE UP!
  • You can hear the excitement in it's chirps as you're helping it out of the egg. It's so TINY!!!!
