Never thought I’d see the day when Trevor would post hockey content

Offsides: An offensive player can’t cross the opposing teams blue line before the puck crosses the blue line. If the puck is in the neutral zone and someone is across the blue line, it becomes delayed offsides (play will continue) until the player or players tag up and come back outside the blue line.

Trevor I've played my fair share of NHL games so here are some tips 1.) Stay away from poke checks unless the player is skating towards you, in the newer games trippings happens a lot from poke checks and it will drive you crazy. 2.) Learn your wrist shot, it is done by just pushing the right stick forward, in the future you can move the right stick side to side to deke and then push it forward right away to shoot quickly. 3.) Offsides occur when a player from the attacking team crosses the line before the pick enters the attacking zone (you cross the line before the puck) if a player from your team touches the puck while the player is offside then they will blow the whistle. 4.) Faceoffs, the easiest faceoff is to hold the right stick to the side and then right as the puck is dropped you pull it back, I would highly suggest learning this and the others in the training as there are multiple types of faceoffs. As a Canadian I am happy to see you try out this series, if you have any other questions feel free to ask

hockey lingo - slap shot: clapper - wrist shot: wrister - stick: twig
  • As someone who’s favorite sport is basketball, I personally think NHL is the most fun sports game to play. Once you get good at the controls and doing different moves It seems to be the only game that purely takes skill to be good.
  • Aww the most whole rarest thing to see on the web is “The beginning”

Don’t spam poke checks Take more wrist and snap shots And stay in your defensive zone

Trevor: Up on the right stick is to take a wrist shot. Down up on right stick is to take a slapshot. Left/right on stick will help you stick handle and move puck from right side of body to left side or left to right. Holding A will protect the puck (not too important) If you keep holding/pushing the left stick in and forward your player will skate faster. — When playing defense, only try to poke check towards the stick if you’re too close to their feet you will get a trip. If you move the right stick up on defense you can check the player. Also look in controls to learn how to move the puck and do dekes they’re mostly all with the right stick with a little bit of L1 taps on certain moves.

This is the first time NHL has done a story in Be A Pro, so you started at the right time!
  • (Insert Game) part 1: “the beginning” Big fan for years TmarTn!

Lady: "their calling him a game changer for whoever gets him" Trevor: "i dont even know what im doing here"
  • For the offsides: The puck carrier has to be the first person to cross the blue line, so if you don’t have the puck wait for whoever does to cross the blue line before you do Also for the penalties: try not to spam/hold R1 as much as you have a much higher chance to draw a tripping penalty that way. Excited for this series!
