I met Leonard Knight back in '93 before his art was well known. Very humble and godly man. Truly believed in what he was doing in creating Salvation Mountain. Thanks for sharing!

Rest In Peace to Leonard Knight the man who constructed and painted salvation mountain.

if you want to see how this area was 25 years ago look up an old Huell Howser Californias Gold 8 Jan 1997. It has an interview with Leonard Knight of Salvation Mountain and the Snowbirds that inhabit Slab City in the winter.

🤣You guys are so funny together in this video 😂……😘Love it😘!!
  • Man.. great video and I'm only 3 mins in. My mother would have really got a kick out of this one. Unfortunately she passed on Christmas eve. I became her full time care taker after being diagnosed with M.S. in 2019 and we soon after began watching your videos. We watched every one of your existing videos together and couldn't wait for the next upload.. your channel was always our 1st go to each and every time we checked out YouTube.. this is my first video since her passing. Although your videos keep improving, they'll never be the same. Keep doing your thing Mike, much love brotha. RIP mom I love and miss you 11.19.61 - 12.24.21

You should do an entire video on the Salton Sea. How it was formed, what it turned into, and its demise is a pretty cool story.

Hell yeah! So glad to see you stretch your legs and get out of LA. There is so much to see. Looking forward to more videos like this.

I watched a few videos about Slab City a few years ago, but you showed us this place the best way and in the best light in my opinion. You took your time to show us what you saw and that was pretty cool. I also liked it when you were both interactive with the art. I especially liked the sword fight. And the dancing? OMG! You were both cool and so much fun to watch. There are so many of us who live to far away visit this lawless place, so I would really like to thank the both of you for making it so much fun for all of us. Two handsome and fun loving guys, what’s not to love and enjoy? You were both amazing, and I cannot imagine anyone not smiling here and there. Me? Lots of smiles, wonderment, and a bit of laughing here and there with the both of you. Chii miigwetch! Thank you very much Lots of love, smiles and laughter sent to all of you from the Interior of Alaska. Be well 🎈
