Advanced Warfare is the last game I think of when I hear the phrase "Call of Duty." In my mind, it is the most forgettable COD game in terms of multiplayer, campaign and Exo-Survival. But can Kevin Spacey at least make the campaign playable? How was enhanced movement handled in it's first Call of Duty iteration? Well, it's time we take a look!

Kevin spacey being the villain has aged like a fine wine
  • As long as “Press F to pay respects” remains on the internet, this game will never be truly forgettable.
  • The graphics and facial animations still hold up quite well on advanced warfare which is impressive for a game that’s about 7 years old

this cod honestly was one of the best to me, so many good memories on this one.
  • Fans: We want something different, we get the same game every year. COD: Here's advanced warfare with a bunch of new different features. Fans: WTF WHY IS THIS GAME SO DIFFERENT!!!!!!! I loved advanced warfare it was a nice change of pace. Where they went wrong was having the next 3 games also having futuristic themes and movements. There are 3 studios making COD games, if each studio did a different theme we would have a good variety in the annual releases. One studio could make WW2/Vietnam/etc, another studio could make modern warfare games, and another studio make futuristic style games. This would mean each year we get something new and fresh.

Shepard: You got the earbuds? Act Man: We got it sir Shepard: Good, that's one less loose end

The zombies for AW is extremely underrated and actually presented the first blueprints for Cold War’s Zombies style. There was a lot of innovation, new power ups, great bosses and awesome random drops like a Titanfall style mech you could get in. Decent is one of the best maps I’ve ever played and I am a huge Zombies fan since the World at War days. If you haven’t played AW Zombies, please give it a try because it’s really fun and you will find a lot of enjoyment from the experience.

Campaign was one of my favorite campaigns. When Kevin spacey said ”Ideas don’t determine who’s right. Power determines who’s right. And I have the power. So I’m right.” That sent goosebumps on my skin.

“Mitchell, Mitchell, Mitchell!” Ramirez: finally, a worthy opponent, our battle will be legendary!

Act man: general Shepard, take it away General Shepard: " 5 years ago my soldiers were using earbuds with poor sound quality, and the world just fucking listened"

Something id like to point out is how creative the designs are. The exosuits look cool and the weird face masks for the marines in the first mission look great. The walking tanks have such a great design and sound. The drone swarm in the first mission moves really cool. The gun designs (though some are pulled from previous games) are creative and interesting. The grenades are super cool and creative. I have nothing but respect for the art team for AW. (Also a small detail you probably missed: in the funeral, you can see that the USMC insignia is different. It has the earth and an eagle biting an anchor in front of it instead of the usual eagle on top of earth and the anchor behind the planet.)

"There are 3 things I remember about Advanced Warfare. Kevin Spacey, it was the first futuriatic COD game, and F. F in the chat." Lowkey one of your best lines on thia channel.

    "Mitchel." "Mitchel!" "MITCHEL!" "MITCHEL!!" "M I T C H E L!!" "M I T C H E L" "Ramirez!!"

If they had just switch the characters of Mitchell and Will, this story would have been so much better. You join the military with your best friend Mitchell, and he gets killed. You then go to his funeral with your dad, Irons. You then get a new arm and start fighting for your Dad's army. you then find out that your dad inevitably led to your friends death by sparking conflicts just so he could become powerful. This gives you a hatred for your dad. Eventually killing him an avenging your friend. The fact that it's your dad you have to kill makes it so much more emotional.

I actually really loved the multiplayer it was good and fast paced, not many people camping due to the movement, and if you mastered the exo suit it was amazing to jump around and gun anyone down

I loved advanced warfare, the maps were good and it was really fun... I made good memories on that game and loved the community back in the day....

Without Advanced Warfare we'd never have press F to pay respects, and so it'll always have special place in my heart for giving us this glorious meme

I find it interesting to see the contrast between your best friend dying in this game, and Sarah dying in The Last of Us. We knew Sarah for probably half the time we knew Will, and yet her death is heart wrenching, wearas I am pretty sure I actually yawned at Will's
