Eufy Cam 2 Pro Incomplete Review - Unboxing, Setup, Video Quality - Is it Really 2K?

07/29/20 - Eufy contacted me and they have updated the Home Base 2's firmware to version 2.1.1.5h. Now, the Pro 2 is recording in 2K. I'll be doing the complete review and comparison pretty soon.

Just installed my Eufy doorbell and Cam 2 pro cameras. The only thing I did differently was use different screws for installation. The screws included are a tad bit too long and strip very easily. Any quality #6 by 1/2 inch panhead screw will make the install process much more efficient.

Great “incomplete” review! I believe Eufy left this bug on the camera to see if you could spot it. Well done!! Now ask them for $2K for finding this 2K problem.

Literally just cancelled my EC2 (that I ordered after researching on your channel a few hours ago) and am picking up the ECpro2k at BestBuy in the morning! Thank you for the videos!

Update- Disregard message below as I just saw you updated video of Eufy cam pro 2k outdoor Cam. Hope you get to this review before sept 30th 2020 as i got an $80 Coupon to use before that date and was looking to purchase this set. Otherwise I will just order Four 2k Cam Pan and tilt Version, They are great as I have two of them. Also if you know for sure they are recording in 2k, you can also let me know so I can go forward with the purchase. Looking to get rid of Ring Cameras that only record at 1080p which are ok, but a bit outdated. Thanks again for another honest and thorough review, always look forward to your reviews. :o)

There is no way that Eufy didn't know about this (great catch on your part). This doesn't speak well about the company and them being a bit dishonest

I ENJOYED WATCHING THE Eufy Cam 2 Pro but ? as you said there was a few problems that may get fixed with software updates now I held off buying one but I do have a homebase 2 and doorbell thats been brilliant now prices here in the UK have dropped for the add on Eufy Cam 2 Pro Why have you not done a follow up video to let us know are the problems fixed ?? thanks for your great videos

Excellent review as usual! I have the 2C and happy with it except one big exception! The notifications don't show a thumbnail of what it captures. The doorbell does and it's awesome. It's the only thing stopping me from using them and getting more. You get notification but you have to go into the app, wait for it to load, go to the events and watch it. I'm hoping you have some pull and can have them add this feature. Personally, I think these are useless without this feature and wouldn't buy again. My 8 year old system does it and you can see what it is quickly with no effort. I was really hoping to change to these cameras but not going to happen. Don't mean to hijack you awesome review but I think people considering these should know that and hope they fix it.

Thank for making a video I purchase eufy home base pro 2k on holiday deal now I found 2 problems maybe you can help me solve this. One of the cameras is facing towards my driveway and I noticed that my heating system exhaust throws hot air smoke since I live in the northeastern where it's getting cold moving the cameras that not a issued but why does it catch hot air smoke , and the second it problem is one of the cameras goes off and on signal to home base I moved the home base closer to the cameras 4 ft distance still saying cameras off try refresh it gave me a code 204. Now I noticed other houses that have vinyl sidings but mine is fiber cement siding with this cost blockage on signal.? Can you make a video of it be nice to find out what's the side effects to the cameras can also have.

I did almost the same thing.. I did a small recording and live feed from the pro and the cam 2 because I thought it was my eyes.. but sure enough the videos and live feeds for me looked and were the same! I sent them an email exposing my disappointment.. What is the deal? Isn’t that almost “false advertising”? I like Eufy.. but they dropped the ball on this one! Thanks for getting it out there.. I’m sure it will now be addressed in a quicker fashion!

I bought the Eufy Cam 2 Pro yesterday, but I noticed the video is lagging. When I see the live feed is laggy and the videos are also laggy. I didn’t have this issue with the Eufy Cam 2C.

Howdy, thanks for the video. One quick question to see if you noticed the same thing. When I was shopping for security camera I tried the Ring Spotlight Cam and the Eufycam 2 Pro. Both cameras are listed with a 140 degree view angle. The Ring is much wider than the EufyCam. Did you experience the same thing?
