  • It makes me happy to know that some people are doing exactly what they should be doing for a living. Thank you all for picking up an instrument and daring to see what could happen.
  • I saw YoYoMa and the Goat Rope Rodeo at Meadowbrook Amphitheater in Auburn Hills, MI, an outdoor venue on a July summer evening in 2013. My best friend of over 50 years had just had a Bone Marrow transplant and was doing ok. Not long after the concert started, i had a call from his wife telling me that he had just died. This venue had seating in a shell and a grassy hill behind. I bought a couple of glasses of wine and sat on the hill by myself listening to this beautiful music thinking of my friend and they put me in a very peaceful place with the soothing eclectic music that is impossible to explain. I will never forget this night and will be forever grateful t them.
  • Have you ever just loved something so much it makes you tear up? That's how I feel every time I hear this. Absolutely amazing.

yo-yo ma's part is so fantastic. i love how the song is split up in a way that emphasizes each instrument at different times.
  • I love how you can tell each of them are so in love with their music and their art. They are all playing with such passion and joy. How euphoric this must have felt
  • This just seems to say, "It will all be okay". Thank you Yo-Yo and friends.

I love how every time you listen to it, you feel a different melody, it's not the same every round I replay the video. Never gets bland. :)

I fell into a very hard episode of dysthymia (a 'kind' of depression) during 2020, almost eight months fighting against this mental illness. There were times in which I couldn't control my thoughts and I honestly believed I was never going to be able to have a normal life again, that it didn't matter if I died tomorrow or in sixty years. I found this song on Spotify by chance, and I swear to god, it was the only song I could listen to in order to calm down, even during panic attacks and other things the medicine couldn't control itself. It was truly a blessing to have found your music, and I believe something or someone out there put you all together to bring joy and heal. Yesterday I took my last pill of antidepressants, and gathered the bravery to leave this comment, as my treatment is finally over. This may never get to you, but I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me getting stronger at times that I was hanging by a thread. Thank you so much for devoting yourselves to music so people like me can find a ray of hope in these when life seems pointless. Thank you, thank you so much.
  • "Attaboy" can bring me joy even on my darkest days. Watching them take such joy in the music and in each other's company makes the world a bit brighter.
  • Jesus, Edgar Meyer at aroun 2:15 - just incredible speed and precision from a bassist. No wonder at least 1/2 this group are certified Geniuses.

Sometimes music like this is the only thing that keeps me going.
  • In every version of this song I can find, this is the only version where Stuart kills that High D at 1:31. Bets part of the song.
  • This song. Every time. Beings me to tears. So much talent in that room. This is real music.
  • I love Yo-Yo Ma's expressions - they tell you what you can already hear, that he's putting his whole heart into a piece of music. These men are nothing short of superb!
  • This is like the finest French wine. Only with this, you can refill your glass by hitting 'replay'

I can say, without any doubt, that this is one of the greatest songs ever written.

Wow. Damn... this magic existed for 10 years before I got to hear it.
