Hi my name is Caira Button and I am a 25 year old who makes videos about tips, tricks, and organization for small space living. I love the minimalist, feminine, clean vibe. I have kept the decor pretty neutral adding a bit of mid century modern & LOTS of plants. I hope my advice is able to help you in your journey!

Damn why is it so expensive to be alive when it wasn't even my choice to be here?? 😩
  • Girl Ikea is expensive af. I would suggest walmart and the dollar tree for people on a tight budget
  • @meh.896
Dollar tree has cute silverware 💕 I was shocked at the amount of glassware they haf

Love the advice! Another great tip for those moving out is if you know you are going to move out in about 6 months to a year, get a storage and start purchasing your big appliances gradually and once you are finish with that, start buying the small items. Start now and don’t wait until move in day. TOO EXPENSIVE.
  • Im about to move out at 27. I work and go to school full time. Fortunately I found a cheap back house and iv saved a good amount of money as a nest egg. You know your super serious about it when your on YouTube looking for help

I just moved out and starting from scratch also and man oh man it is a trip....school definitely does not prepare you for this

Im so glad my boyfriend's mom is giving us alot of stuff such as a washing machine, couch, table and chairs, coffee table, shelfs, pots and pans, cooking utensils, towels etc. I really appreciate her ☺️

I’m so jealous of people who live with their partner. It’s so much cheaper, split rent, bills etc. I gotta do this shit all by myself 😭

Me wanting to move out: After seeing this: nvm

I found that the chores to be the easiest part. I had fewer chores living alone than living with my husband, lol. Now that I'm disabled, he has to do all the chores (and he doesn't).

The best moving out video; I have came across. Save as much as possible, & as others have said get things from goodwill, target, Walmart, the dollar tree. your stuff does not have to be fancy.
  • @kyanavega
I really appreciate this so much, some people think this is stuff we should already know but schools don’t talk about it and parents don’t want you to grow up too fast. So I’ll be keeping all of this in a notebook 💞💞thank you

Good places to shop for cheap decor: dollar tree, 5 below, goodwill/thrift stores, Walmart not really target cuz it’s expensive, Tuesday morning (if you have it in your town).

Caira, I shared your video with my high school Financial Math classes today. We are in a unit discussing entry-level jobs and the cost of moving out. Your relatable video provides some real-world experience and information that just isn't found in textbooks. Thank you for sharing!
  • @AwuramaGlow
YES YES YESS. Started living on my own and everything is expensive. Plus I think Walmart is the best way to go at first. If the products do not satisfy you, then I recommend Ikea.

I feel like I’ll be fine because I basically cook, pay some of the bills, do my own laundry, I’ve been buying most of what I own since I was in high school. I think it’s just taking me long to move out.

Great video! I used thrift stores for my first apartment alone. I found vacuum cleaners, tv’s... cool ware, etc. even cheap vintage stuff. Also I had used furniture except my mattress.
  • @MariaLunaDelRey
You’re very well articulated and full of information. I also live in Chicago (Lakeview) and I’m looking for a studio to be on my own!
