  • Cas, I can’t thank you enough for your free downloads. There are many of us who simply cannot afford another dollar. So many others sell their ideas but you don’t. You give me encouragement along with knowledge and that has made me a happy cleaner. My house is not always clean yet but I can do it happily while I use your advice or listen to your podcasts. Thanks for keeping it real with us. 😊

We ALL deserve a clean house. In my family, everyone participates. When my son was young, I asked him if he wanted to help put groceries away or bring them in from the car. I asked if he wanted to fold laundry or sort it and put it in the washer. Cook or clean up. Etc. All the tasks are not left up to only one person. It's important to teach our kids. this habit of taking care of a house and our spouses as well if they don't already. Otherwise, we aren't teaching our kids life skills.

As a newly widowed man I see how hard keeping a house clean and cooking is. I'm kind of a weekend worrier the way I clean. It's very similar to keeping a garage workshop organized. Great Ideas, I'll be watching your other video's. Ladies I feel your pain!

I'm a single mom/grandma that's raising my grandchild, who is a teenager now. I always think about doing something with other adults, but change my mind Lol. I want my grandchild to have a great New Year even more. I let him invite some friends over for a sleepover and I buy some sparking grape juice that comes in a champagne bottle, along with pizza and a ton of snacks. Right before midnight I get the champagne glasses out and he opens the bottle and then we all scream the count down and toast. It's always fun. I'm content and happy knowing I'm creating good moments that will have lasting memories.

In the 60’s my dad was an efficiency expert. His job was literally to look at wasted actions and consolidating movements to save time and energy (and $). We were raised with these tips and I’ve taken this into every area of my life from errand running to bills and so on. Love this video Cas as always ! You are AMAZE BALLS! Loved thinking of my dad too 🥰

Yes! It took years for me, too, to realize that cleaning was a gift to myself. A tidy home didn't seem to matter to other family members, but since it matters to me, I get started and thank myself later.

To make this perfectly clear: You are the at least boring person I ever met! You are awesome and one of my personal heroes! Happy New Year!

All I want to say is THANK YOU. As someone with clinically diagnosed ADHD I was dreading this video because I was waiting for the cliches and the “make your bed” and it never came. Finally some useful information! Much appreciated

Thank you so much, Cass, for spending New Year's Eve as a volunteer... It is fortunate that nothing happened, but if it had... I remember once our car was hit by another from behind and I was heavily pregnant and volunteer ambulance staff took me to the hospital because I was feeling a bit shaken and guess what? My baby needed emergency assistance and it was discovered in that process of checking to see the effects, and it is likely that these volunteers saved my baby's life. No amount of drinking and fun can compare, but I do hope that you find a way to have a wonderful time, at another date.

From one ‘boring’ Mom to another - do something (possibly slightly out of your comfort zone) that your kids want to try. Ziplining, indoor skydiving, snow soccer, etc. - even hiking a challenging trail near your home. One of my kids is into theatre, so I’ve helped make costumes for productions (often frantically, with very short timelines - picture me hemming an understudy’s far-too-long costume as they wait for their cue to go onstage. Forget ‘right for the role’; understudies should be the same SIZE as the performer!). Discovered a bunch of skills I didn’t know I had. Or, see if you can spend a weekend in Toronto or Niagara Falls with the same people you usually go to Vegas with. Probably nearly as much fun, and likely cheaper! (Although I’ve heard Vegas is pretty budget friendly.) Thank you for the good ideas, and kudos for volunteering on New Year’s Eve!

Thanks for sharing how you were feeling. Idk if you are Christian or not but perhaps some of your followers are so i feel convicted to share. I was meditating on the Lords word after reading totally different scripture but The Lord reminded me and answered my prayers through his word. He put in my mind what he said to go and be Good stewards of all that he has given us. And that meant more than just finances. That means your time, your body, your strength, your patience your love etc. i never thought about that scripture in the context of being a stay at home mom and it took away my frustration and irritation and blame i was fighting with in my mind. Thank God for answering my prayers and giving the peace through my struggles.

I love these ideas, and I need to do the 10 minute tidy every night. A good way to let loose for an hour or two is a wine and painting night!
  • @bethgrindle4788
I so do this every night. Hate getting up to a cluttered kitchen.
  • @maxinereed7667
You are so right, Cas. Tidying up at the end of the night makes the biggest difference to the cleanliness of my house. Do you know what is even better though? I have taught my 3 kids to clear up after dinner. Between 3 of them, they are smaller jobs. 1 clears our breakfast bar after dinner; they each sweep a floor in the main living areas; 1 does the washing up; 1 does the drying up. We are working on the 3 of them doing the tidy too, but I do that at the moment . Let me tell you,... GAME CHANGER!! I had to teach them what to do, and I do make sure I clear up as much as possible after making dinner, but it makes such a difference!
  • Yes! No one goes to bed until everything's picked up & put away!!! I say no one because I believe in teaching your children to be accountable also to the cleanliness of their home in which they dwell. ❤ We don't celebrate new years. I get all I need in comfy pj's & a good movie. 😂
  • @Studio344
I like how you talk about hard things in real ways and with gentle humour. 💖
  • @janeahrens572
I’m 68 1/2. I go sledding with the grandkids, and if I’m REALLY feeling’ it, I make snow angels in funny places. Like in my kids front yard along the road or … even at our business!🤫
  • I know sometimes you feel like you are repetitive, but sometimes I need to hear it again. Thank you Cass!!
  • This is great. I too am an“ all or nothing person”. I’ve adopted the non negotiable habits and have helped me so much. On New Year’s Eve I watched an old movie. Boring but relaxing. NY day I could sew all day on a project because everyone else was watching foot ball. Boring to some but relaxing to me.
