Take 2 tablespoonfuls of mung bean and soak them overnight. Rinse and drain twice daily. Keep in a cool, dark place. And in six days harvest your bounty.

That's pretty cool, and would be good in a stir fry. I cook up the Mung beans as a Filipino dish called Mongo. Saute some onions and garlic in a soup pot, then add probably 6 cups water and bring to boil. Add package of Mung beans and simmer until they get tender. Add a pound of sliced smoked sausage and a Tbsp. cumin. Simmer another 15 min, then add baby spinach leaves, and simmer 5 min. Should be fairly thick, and we always served it over rice. Enjoy.
