I'm happy the judge gave him a life sentence. The grandmother, begging the judge to not take him away from us, was sickening considering they can visit him and talk to him. Tristen's parents, I bet, wish they could talk to their daughter 1 more time.

Do not let him out, please. You reap what you sow, Aiden 114 stabs wounds for no reason, let that fact sink in
  • @reminiscer15
The fact that he killed someone just because he literally felt like it to satisfy his desire means he should never ever be released from prison.

"There is no greater loss than the loss of a child." The most painful of all truths.

What I don't get about people saying it's wrong because he's 14 is imagine you at 14 planning and actually following through on doing something like that, you know exactly what you're doing and you understand what will happen after, he deserves life
  • I've rarely seen a judge act like this. He's holding back tears.
  • The judge was struggling but kept it together. He did an outstanding job explaining everything. I wanted to see this monster and his family as the sentence was given. The pain this family has to endure for ever is so heartbreaking. They kept their cool the whole time. I don’t think I could have done it. The explaining what she went through, I can’t imagine. This will haunt Tristan’s family for life. Going over and over in their minds without relief. I think and hope he will never get out. The inmates might take justice into their own hands.
  • "49 defensive wounds", it kills me every time I hear that. Poor Tristyn 😢💔 May she rest in peace.

Rest well little Tristyn...Even in South Africa we grieve you and all the women who have been hurt. Your smile touched the world. You had the Right to be a teenager.😢

It’s actually mind boggling that we as a society have to navigate our every day life not fully knowing whether or not someone as capable of pure insanity like this kid, has been or is near us.

I know this wasn't easy for the judge to repeat what happened to the baby girl. I can see in his face, he was tearing up. I just broke down just watching him. Everyone had a hard time with this case. God bless the family, her friends and this judge.
  • Tristan's family is so impressive. Their love of her isn't just their words, it's in every single deed they accomplish. It is painful to witness what they've had to go through, but there is no doubt in my mind that Tristyn is looking down on her family and is so proud of them, and that she will be with them always. It was incredibly painful to watch Aiden's grandmother. What he did obviously had destroyed her and to this day, the pain is still so raw for her. I don't know if she will ever find peace because of the actions of her grandson. As she said, she doesn't know who he is anymore. She loves who he was, but the person who is sitting before her is a stranger to her. I honestly believe she is hurting by the loss of the grandson she thought she had almost as much as Tristyn's family is by the loss of their daughter. In many ways it's worse for the Aiden's family in that he was not an innocent, their child was the evil one that brought this upon them. Their own child, who they clearly loved and cared for, betrayed them all in such a horrific way, and now they have to live with what he has left behind. Tristyn will always be a beautiful, sweet, loving and kind innocent young woman, who was never able to achieve her potential. Tristyn will be remembered by her friends, family and the entire community for many decades to come, most will never forget her. Such a testimony for such a young woman who was only on this Earth for 13yrs. My her parents find peace and joy again in the most impressive and beautiful children that are Tristan's siblings. They have so much to be proud of in all their children, I'm so sorry this happened to their family.

He should not get out period! This kid knew what he was doing. Prayers for the family.
  • @Audrina444
Seeing the mom cry at the end broke me. I’m putting alarms on every single door and window to my house because of this.
  • @isaiah2536
The thought of being stabbed with a knife even ONCE is beyond comprehension so 114 is…. I have no words.
  • @renee7438
114 years would be fair. One for every wound he inflicted on this poor girl.
  • Thank you, Judge. I hope he is never brought out into society. This case brought tears to my eyes, and I didn't know the girl.

I can’t express in words the absolute sadness and heartache I feel for Tristyn. I’m nauseous and shaking , thinking of what she endured- for NO reason! My prayers are with her Mother, Father and family. I don’t care if this sadistic monster got life, for him to be allowed to breathe air, is an injustice! His Grandmother and Mother need serious psychiatric treatment! How dare they ask for mercy!
  • He took her to the woods far enough to where nobody could hear her screams while he brutally attacked her. I can't even imagine how scared she felt the moment he started to stab her. Begging him to stop and fighting for her life. This case is so heartbreaking and it brings me to tears. My heart goes out to her family and friends 😞
