DUDES, this is a killer video. Knocked it out of the park. Now, make more of them. 😂
  • My husband and I made a special stop in Soligen to inquire about the Boker knives as he was a collecter. They were so incredibly nice and friendly and welcomed us into their establishment even without an appointment. We talked for several minutes with the head of the company and were allowed to purchase a couple of knives straight from the onsite factory. I loved seeing this video because it reminds me of a wonderful experience in the beautiful country of Germany.
  • Just a lil' fun fact: Germans used to call someone getting stabbed a 'Greeting from Solingen' because of their long history of knife/tool making

When I was a young man in Tennessee, I used to go to the town square in Murfreesboro and hang out with the old men sitting on the bench next to the old Civil War canons. They would whittle all day long on cedar sticks. I asked one of the men one day what he was making. He said, "Im making little sticks out of big ones"! As I sat there, these men were constantly asking the same question of anyone that came up to be around them...What kind of pocket knife do you have? If you didn't pull out a Boker knife from your pocket, you had better not pull anything out of it. It was Boker or trash. Thats where my love for Boker began. This was a sweet video. Thanks

I bought my Boker 111004 folding pocket knife when I was 16 years old back in 1983 from Kmart of all places. I carried it through my Coast Guard career and still carry it today. It has always been my go to pocket knife. Thank you for the history lesson.

Such a cool video, huge home run and so cool that you guys go as far as traveling to bring us this amazing content. Love it
  • @John-mf6ky
Thats awesome that boker offers apprenticeships for young folks. The world needs people with these kind kf skills.
  • @saxcobra895
This is one of the most fascinating videos you guys have done. Bravo!

I was a teenager in the 1960s. All of my uncles carried, and I looked forward to carrying, Boker, Case or Ka-bar pocket knives. There were lots of debates about which was best but everybody conceded that you had a good knife if you had any of those brands.

Apparently Lennart was not only the best apprentice in knive making but rather the best of all apprentice machinists in Germany, which is a big deal. I think his statement regarding craftmanship is a really important message for young people. Learning a craft might be a better/happier option for many who feel the pressure to get university degrees.
  • This video is on a whole different level. So interesting! Impressive marketing and fantastic filming and editing. Love the way you used the B film during narration. You can let your supervisor/manager know that your trip to Germany was well worth it because I am buying a knife right now from you guys out of sheer principle. This is marketing done right. I showed this video to my brother in law who isn’t even a knife guy and he plans to buy a Boker from you guys as well.

One of my favorite companies love their stuff, from the bottom to the top. Those Damascus made from a Tank knives are on the grail list 🤩
  • @natek1993
This is an incredible video. Makes me respect Boker so much more.
  • @holzmann8443
I hope I can still make pocket knives when I'm 300+ years old. Kudos to this fine gentleman!
  • This young man who is in charge of stamping that skipped college will have the best hands on experience! The learning atmosphere at Boka will only produce a really great product! 👍🏽
  • 147 👎? I guess that’s the number of people that pitched this idea to discovery channel and they said no! Lol! 😂🤣 What a video! Not only about knives but about your career..., the kid said, no university for me. I’m here through an apprentice program. That’s refreshing! The man even said, we have those knife nuts working for us. Here in USA we teach that without university you are nothing. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Good job guys! New sub here!
  • @JP-8924
This was incredible guys! Really made me appreciate the quality and craftsmanship from Boker. Would love to see more content like this! Maybe Victorinox sometime?
