I saw Jack Nicholson once, when I was an extra decades ago on the set of "Prizzi's Honor". We were filming in a church (St. Ann's?) in Brooklyn Heights. He was about 20 feet away. I was stealing looks at him, trying not to stare. During a break in filming, he paused, looked at me and met my gaze pleasantly with a brief smile of acknowledgement. He was present, connected, and kind. It was only a second but I appreciated it.

One of our greatest actors ever!
-
That last remote clip of Jack and the cast of Cuckoo's Nest is marvelous.
-
He’s definitely one of those people with some kind of ineffable spark or “it” factor about him. He’s got some kind of intense but slow-burning magnetism, so that he’s just fascinating to watch and listen to, no matter what he’s doing. Very interesting dude (and excellent actor, but that goes without saying).

Jack Nicholson is one of my favorite actors of all time. There are actors and then there are artists. He makes acting seem like an art, and he does it like no other. A living legend and will surely be regarded as one of the true greats who graced the big screen.
-
Hard to think of a bad movie he ever played in. Even if the movie wasn’t well received, his performances always shine 😉
-
Jack Nicholson engaged my niece into a conversation while we were sitting at the Hotel Jerome in Aspen, Colorado. He’s a Legend! ❤
-
His AFI speech really moves me – as it did with Goldie and Candice... when the tears are coming, you see and feel what's really important to you. I LOVE cinema... for many reasons! One certainly is Mr Jack Nicholson! Thank you so much.
-
Always delivered, even in bad movies he was still excellent.
-
He has a unique voice. Can't think of any young actors today who have that
-
An amazing talent AND personality. Jack Nicholson is just one of a kind , and the world is truly a better place because this man is part of it, sharing his talent and skills all along the way.
-
YOU, are the caretaker. You've always been the caretaker.
-
I love this man and his amazing talent.❤
-
Love you Jack wish we could do it all over again !
-
I enjoy the comments that state that Jack was just himself in front of the camera and not really acting. That, in itself, is testimony to how great an actor he is.
-
I was at the premiere of one flew over the cuckoo’s nest at the 10th Chicago, international film festival 1975 and Jack Nicholson was there. He walked into the space humble, but confidently self-assured. Myself and a couple of hundred people witnessed it.
-
I've loved him in every movie he's made. "Five Easy Pieces" is a favorite.
-
“His name escapes me” class
-
I had no idea he was such, an emotional calm man, now I understand how he is such an epic actor. For me my favourite is still my first introduction to him aged 7. Joker. HE STOLE MY BALLOONS! 😂 🎈 🦇

He is one of the greatest of all time ❤
