Hey Friends! We were in France recently and of course I had to visit as many amazing bakeries and patisseries in Paris as I could! Thanks to all of you who offered great suggestions for places to visit when I asked for suggestions in the community tab, this video would not have been possible without you! Brian tagged along for the ride and I have to tell you, we are both still talking about some of these dreamy pasteries!

A Preppy Kitchen mini-series of you trying out different bakeries around the globe would be fun!
  • There's something just so joyful and life-affirming about seeing someone going round the patisseries of Paris and simply enjoying them with unalloyed pleasure. I love Paris with a passion and watching this was like having a teeny-weeny holiday there. Thank you so much. :-)

A friend of mine and her husband backpacked through Europe for an anniversary trip. They would buy pastries and coffees for a park breakfast and then a baquette and chunk of cheese for lunch later on. They just ate their way through Paris and London! My dream trip!!
  • One of the things I love of living in Europe (I live in Barcelona) is that you can go to a random store and it can be SO beautiful on the inside... Even a farmacy 😍💕

YES!!! MORE VLOGS LIKE THIS PLEASEEEE!!! Super interesting to watch this kinda style 😁😁😁

Fun fact in Paris Artisan Boulanger means the pastries bread must be made in the premises. It’s not just the big name Boulangeries, even the smallest Artisan Boulangerie rival the big names because of the skill. Sorry for my English I am French.

I went to Paris in September for a week, and everyday I would try new pastries. I was in such a dreamy state, it's crazy how food has such an impact on me. I love eating, love desserts and definitely loved watching you guys enjoy your french pastries.
  • @mlhenry4
I’d love to see you recreate the vanilla bean dessert! This was a really great video!

On my first trip to Paris back in 2002, I discovered Opera House honey. It's sold in the gift shop of the Opera Garnier and comes from the bees who have nested on the roof of the opera house. It's the best tasting honey I have ever come across and I wound up buying a case of it.
  • You guys are so sweet together! Beautiful to watch you two together enjoying not only the destination but each other's company as a family! God bless you!🥲💙💙💙🕉🕉🕉🔱🔱🔱🙏🙏🙏🤲🕊💫

John, it was pure pleasure watching you and tour the bakeries and taste the goodies with your barely contained excitement. Your'e the best!
  • @rachelarave
Seriously?? How do you two stay so SKINNY??? Everything looks so amazing!! So fun to watch this. One day I will make it to Paris! You are awesome!

    "I wish I had more time and a bigger stomach" I laughed out loud 😭 😂 🤣
  • Only for this video you deserve to go SECOND TIME IN PARADISE! A good cook acknowledge his food, A GREAT COOK ACKNOWLEDGE THE OTHERS! BLESS YOU!
  • As much as I love your recipes (and any time you want to come and live with Italy and cook for me, let me know!) But when you live in France, the pastries, cookies, and cakes are so melt-in-your-mouth delicious and so inexpensive, it just doesn't make sense to cook for special occasions - or breakfast, for that matter, when there's a wonderful Boulanger/Patisserie on almost every corner...It's an indulgence you get used to! Loving the tour of my favorite bakeries in Paris!

I love Paris, lived there for a while and visit often. This was pastry lover's fantasy. And I agree with the person in the comments who said you should do a miniseries visiting the world's best pastry shops, speaking with the pastry chefs and doing pastry tastings. That would be awesome!
  • @Afterthehealing
I will literally need to workout hard before Paris because I'm going crazy when I get there 🥰🙌🏾 excited to eat all day
  • My sister and I went to France in 1973, or thereabouts. Divine! We didn’t eat any pastries but we did eat bread…..and brought home on the plane about 8 loaves. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video with me!!!

Ohhhhh I'm so happy for you ! Both of my kids live in Paris, and I just came back last month. There is. absolutely nowhere in the world where the croissants are better! Have such fun.
