"Right now I feel like I can take on the whole Empire myself" Poor Dak, he was wearing his Red Shirt that day :'(

I've always wondered why movies from the 80's like Star Wars and Indiana Jones were so magical and captivating. Then I realized it was because of John Williams music. It amazes me when I have friends that say they don't enjoy these series. Oh well, their loss.

"We've captured a Command Post" "We've lost a Command Post" "Their reinforcements are dwindling!" "Our reinforcements are dwindling!" Anyone else still play Battlefront 2?

The first transport is away... I repeat, the first transport is away.

R.I.P Dak. He thought he could take on the Empire by himself
  • "Imperial troops have entered the base!" "Imperial troops have- radio static

Admit it. If you played the original Star Wars Battlefront 2, you played as the Empire, got in the AT-AT, and took 20,000 years to reach the shield generator just to be able to say you blew up the shield generator in an AT-AT.

"No one ever complained about the cold on Hoth. We never felt it. Although we were blinded by the blizzards, we could see the final end of the rebellion in our blaster sights. On that day, on that planet our blood ran hot with dreams of victory. Melting the Ice that stood in our way." "As the rebels fled, the 501st gathered around the burning bunker, they let out a cheer that shook the stars. The Rebellion was done. Death star was being rebuilt bigger than ever, order have finally returned to the galaxy. And no small part due to the efforst of the fighting men of the 501st. "

john williams is a fucking genius, i dont think star wars would have been as great without him.
  • As long as they don't have any giant robot camels I think we should be okay.

I remember always associating 4:02 with the giant walkers ever since I was a child. The first time I heard it it never left my mind. When playing with my toys I had that theme going on in my head.

Rebels get stomped on this map on battlefront... Just like the movie
  • 8:10 and suddenly I'm Dash Rendar fighting an AT-ST in Echo Base again. Such memorable music, still happy Shadows of the Empire made such good use of it throughout the game. Made my childhood that much better!

I think 10:40 - 11:37 highlights what made this battle and movie so good. The rebels get their small victories, destroying a walker here and there, but the Empire is just so unstoppable that it doesn't matter. This battle really did a great job of showing what fighting the Empire was like through most of the war. The idea that no matter what you did they could just keep coming.
