I saw this album performed live in a small venue (9:30 Club, then on F Street in D.C. in 93) and again 4 other times, but '93 was transforming.. THIS IS TRUE VERVE and THANK YOU! This album alone changes my life every day to this day. I just bought an Audio-Technica turntable today only for max experience of this golden record! Verve -- fellas, where are you? You must come back to us. What the fuck are we supposed to do w/o each of your sound, EACH OF YOUR SOUND! & w/o your performance? Shattered in NORCAL, LU2M. funny how life works. 93 was a terrible year for me. but little did i know the magic that was around that year (this album). lesson hear no matter what you're going through or how bad life u think life is, if u look around a lil u might find some special.

This is Beautiful music .... wells up for me feelings of nostalgia, ... warm sun light breaking past the curtains in my childhood bedroom, looking out west ... watching, playing with the dust motes ...

A friend gave me a box a cassette tapes in 1995. This album was the first one I picked and played in my old 85 Honda Accord. By the time I got through Star Sail, Slide Away, Already There, and then this... I fell in love with a genre I had no idea of. The next cassette I played after finishing A Storm in Heaven was Slowdive's Just for a Day.

july moonlight 93 in the ripe night upstairs in the listening room no curtains in the naked bay windows, the tubes warm and the cathedralesque feeling that there are no floors anywhere on earth to be found... no need for intoxicants.. great sound, more reavealing than way back
