I am a retired pottery instructor. Many of my students wanted to add glass to very shallow bowls, similar to what you are doing. They wanted them for jewelry trays. Since the glass left little raised edges that would cause cuts, I had them add a thin layer of resin to deal the surface. Worked great!

Square coasters? No waste. One big sheet. Cut down, then across. Not saying that square is better, or more artistic than round coasters. Just sayin, I believe, cheaper to manufacture. By the way, I enjoyed the fideo.

I make chandeliers, wind chimes, Mobiles, and different things out of glass I find in creeks, and lakes. It kinda pains me to see such little precautions used. I use gloves, googles and long sleeved shirts always when working with glass. Another precaution is I pick up the glass when it’s freshly broken with pliers because you don’t know how sharp the glass will be.

Hi, at what temperature do you fire when you use the glass? Do you do it with bowls too or does it go funny between the bottom and the edges if it's not completely flat? Thanks!!
