It’s funny you add how Tom Kenny should’ve voiced modok in this show when he already has in that super hero squad kids show that ran back in 2009 and I actually remember modok being one of the stand out characters from that show

The best interpretation of MODOK is still the one from Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, where he’s a powerful and serious threat, but also still pretty funny, mainly because of his voice lol. He reminds a lot of Mojo Jojo honestly, where he takes himself so seriously that it’s just funny.
  • Its crazy to me that the makers of this were allowed to make one show, and they didn't go with Howard the duck. It's the obvious choice for something like this, it would have been a perfect parallel to Harley Quinn. I'm thinkin like a bojack horseman vibe
  • It's sad that the only time that Modok has been treated as a serious threat in recent times was in The Avengers game I genuinely wonder how the MCU would adapt him

The funny thing is, Patton Oswalt did an amazing job at playing the crazy mad scientist Professor Dementor in Kim Possible, so I have no idea why he sounds so flat in this.
  • A Dr. Doom family comedy where he has to spend a month or two looking after Reed’s kids since he’s technically their Godfather. It’s stupid but it could be funny.

I feel like they were trying to win over the Marvel Superheroes: What The-? fans without understanding anything that made that series lovable

“Hey Louis, I hate humans, frickin’ sweet!”
  • We only get episodes week by week here in Canada. It's a throw everything at the wall and see what sticks style of humor. Some of it works, I died at the goats in the Asgard episode, and I feel the son character could've been axed altogether.
  • I miss old school marvel animated shows like Avengers earth's mightiest heroes, Iron Man armored adventures, fantastic four world's greatest heroes, the spectacular spider-man and wolverine and the x-men

UMvC3's M.O.D.O.K is the best version of the character outside comics IMO. "I defeated a raccoon! Science!"

Atleast on Ultimate Marvel vs capcom 3 he was good and a background character on Marvel vs Capcom infinite

How do they keep consistently failing at making a giant floating head with tiny little limbs that never wins funny?
  • Anyone who knows modern comics was not surprised by this. Those comics have been out of touch for years now; writing stories that almost no one wants to read. And it's the same case with the MODOK show. A story that nobody asked for.

You know, I always thought M.O.D.O.K had a bit of a humorous bent to him since my introductions to him were the Super Hero Squad Show and Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but even then the humor came from the overglazed Christmas ham he brought to the table rather being stand-out funny. In my opinion, a comedy-centered M.O.D.O.K should aim for more of a 80s-90s type villainy like Krang, or Cobra Commander, or Dr. Robotnik for examples, rather than this cutting room Robot Chicken material.

Shows like this, which warp the character/universe so much as for them to be unrecognizable for the sake of comedy always baffle me. Like, why is this a MODOK show at all?

This feels like a fever dream... MODOK of all the villains got his own show that mo one even heard about.
