  • The lighting was dark in this bathroom and despite what it looks like in the video, the crevices around my toilet and sink are not black. It's just the lighting. 🤣🤣🤣
  • I used to be a custom picture framer and I have some advice about cleaning mirrors. Do NOT spray the cleaner directly on the mirror. Spray it on the cleaning cloth. When you spray it directly on the mirror it can run down into the frame. That will cause the silver on the mirror to erode and ruin it.
  • One word. Comet. Good enough for us in the 60s/70s, good enough today.

I’m more concerned about the floor around the toilet 😳

Hello, I am a house cleaner and all I use for bathrooms is a teaspoon of tide powder detergent and a 3/4 cup of bleach with a gallon of very hot water. When cleaning stone I just don’t use bleach. Its the best bathroom/multipurpose I’ve used and trust me I’ve used so many 😁 this recipe is from Go Clean Company.

I love using grout renew for my tile grout. Looks white and brand new once painted on.
  • As a clutterer by nature, I so do appreciate anyone with tips on cleaning. I do clean but there is always room for better ways. Thank you.

That was some of the best advice I think i have ever seen - after 2 years as a Public Area cleaner - you have finally simplified my household toilet cleaning tasks! 😇

I pour a little pine sol in my toilet brush holder for keeping bacteria away and makes the bathroom always smell like freshly cleaned 👍🏻

I loved powdered sanitizer flush or powdered vanish. They worked so well

That was very light cleaning for a germaphobe! I'm pretty much the opposite of a germaphobe, and I clean more intensely than that!!!

There is mold around the edge of the sink on the outside. Is there mold underneath the edge of the toilet since you didn't clean that area?
  • @rmadara
Love how you pointed at the bowl and told us to "sit tight" LOL!!!
  • I do the exact same thing, only with liquid laundry detergent and bleach.. brush that all along the sides of the bowl, let it sit for 15-20, scrub it down.. perfectly cleaned toilet bowel !

Tip: instead of using plastic detergent measuring cup to toss in the laundry detergent ( *powdered alternative to TB cleaner)...get on of the 2 pk clear condiment squeeze bottles and cut the tip off just large enough to easily spray powdered soap onto wet toilet bowl walls. Make sure to mark the bottle clearly with a permanent marker or label ---- "Detergent bottle-for Toilet cleaning use only"

Amazed by the "squatty poddy" behind toilet! Never thought about using my Arm n Hammer powder on toilet. I do scrub my porch w/ it & it's amazing for white soles on shoes!!
  • @vickijd22
Short version: use powdered laundry detergent to scrub your toilet.
  • I would use a parmesan cheese container to put my laundry powder in for toilets
  • @sasziy375
You are so right! Thanks for the tip on the toilet brush (leaving it to dry so as to limit the bacteria build up as well as letting it rinse in the flush).

Much quicker and less expensive method - substitute cleanser ( Ajax, comet ) put it around the sides as the laundry detergent was spread. Take your toilet brush and do exactly as she do BUT you do NOT have to wait 15 minutes…. Or even 2 minutes. Does exactly the same job as her method but for less money and less time!
