Hey guys, I've got to give a big thanks to World of Warships for sponsoring this video! Click this link and receive a TON of bonuses! wo.ws/3wwylAe
  • THIS is everything (and then some) that Phantom Fury should have been. Shelly deserves better. She and Dawn would be fast friends, I feel. Can't wait to fire this baby up!
  • The funny thing about your mom jokes is that when your kid grown enough to watch your videos hes gonna feel every single one of them.
  • Doom 3 never gets enough credit. Much of this level design, emissive lights, ambushes and interactive item/screens reminds me of Doom 3 big time
  • It's still crazy to think that this is all made in the GZDoom engine. Weird that larger studios don't try and use freely available tools like this, esp. since they're so fanatical about cost-cutting.
  • About the upgrade for the shotgun that makes more gibs but doesn't give any gameplay advantage: The rule of cool has been respected and it's the most important rule to be respected when you play a cool game
  • I love the Sam Peckinpah and John Wu influence with the papers flying when rounds hit desks and tables.
  • 23:21 There is a dash move not just slide? The higher difficulties play more like a tactical shooter than a boomer shooter, you get folded so quickly. There are so many little nuances, everyone read the in-game tips! You can insta gib a single unalert enemy, side staffing can dodge projectiles at mid-range, letting you move under fire into good positions if you pick the right approach, the movement boosts, crazy slide jumps, dashing back into cover, holding angles, traps, tools, turrets. So much depth, can't wait to see what people discover. Satisfying crunchy combat.

I can't hear selaco without thinking aliens. Also I like how one of the guns crosshairs is from the assault rifle in halo 3.
  • 6:56 Gman in a game? Youve made it now, sonny jim. You be all famous n shit.
  • A couple years ago i read that the engine for Doom 3 also became open source. Makes me wonder what awesome games talented people can make this with this old engine
  • Playing it now, and it's clearly borrowing heavily from FEAR, and that's a GREAT THING. I died a few times in the prologue trying to kill a guy with dinner plates. It was hilarious.
  • @mjay6245
I love the reference to Men in Black 1 with the "Roaring Cricket" instead of the "Noisy Cricket." Now give us a super shotgun!
  • A buddy of mine is still mad at you, because you've been able to play multiple levels a couple of years ago, while all my friend got, was the demo
  • @mariodrv
Do a review of World Of Warships and you will NEVER accept ads form them again. GUARANTEED
  • 6:28 Lol I don't blame anyone for ripping that save room song. Most cherished song for calm terror!
  • @IsaacHozz
I made it to 1:27 and clicked buy. As someone who has enjoyed DooM 2 (with Brutal DooM modded on) more than most modern shooters... this purchase was too easy.
  • @AliquemVR
I have given into your demands and have proceeded to purchase the game now, which is also amazingly offering a bundle WITH Mad Mullet Jack... GENIOUS!

This game is fucking awesome. The gunplay, the enemy AI, and the combat arenas alone sell it. But that's not all Selaco has to offer. It has some of the most insane secret hunting, top notch quality of life features and accessibility options, banger music, fantastic environmental story-telling, and even a slight droplet of Metroid in its DNA since you can return to previous levels for optional upgrades (although I wish some enemies respawned on re-visitation). So glad I supported this on Patreon, and it's not even finished. There's so much more to come.
