Dude was so good he made me reconsider my feelings toward Skechers.
  • @SgtZaqq
Imagine you're making a record and you need a drummer. This guy comes in, listens to your song once, and records a perfect drum track in one take... Unreal.
  • @BL_723
OK... this is definitely my favorite "For The First Time" performance. Frank absolutely killed it!
  • @ArmandoJF33
I am not a musician nor a drummer by any means. But I truly love this series. I have a better appreciation the genius that Frank has to dissect a song like this and put his own spin on it. Great video!!
  • @baburnit
This guy is THE definition of a professional drummer. Coherent and repeated parts written on the spot with amazing fills and improvisation. Dude is amazing!
  • @Avliv_Satan
I think that his interpretation actually served the song very well, so definite props for that.

04:51 This drum fill was sick. Added a different vibe completely to the song and made that part of the song more dynamic.

In my early 20s I was a singer/songwriter and recorded about 20 songs that had Frank Bellucci on the drums. He came to my producer's studio in Dix Hills, Long Island - listened to each song once and knocked out an amazing drum track for each song like it was nothing. An incredible musician, so cool to see him on here!

To be honest, I like this much better than the original lol. That tom ride was absolutely killer.
  • @ZachGatesHere
Speaking as someone who ADORES the original, this is incredible. Like holy hell what an interpretation. The swing on the toms is so cool. Such a different vibe but it fits perfectly.
  • @gameoftones77
This guy comes in looking like my dads bowling partner, sketchers and all, lays down a perfectly acceptable track without ever hearing the song or being familiar with the genre. Respect!

dude rolled in with his skechers, listened to it once, and played a part better than the original in perfect time. unreal.
  • @hazelflag
I'm obsessed with this. These guys are not reacting the way I needed them to cause this was the one of the best one takes i've seen.
  • @Killadey
That was absolutely mind-blowing. He completely nailed the feel of the song and gave a performance genuinely good enough to be on the record. Incredible.
  • @aldoelektrika
This is a fucking masterpiece. His accents and change of moods fits this song so well. How he builds on the verses by later adding the tom hits, the chorus kick accents the vocal runs perfectly. He actually adds the break on the last verse to add more effect than constantly doing it. The toms on DOITBABY make it feel like a dance hit, which makes that vocal line so much more fun. A Halloween Day miracle.
  • @MarsHottentot
Bellucci KILLED it. His accenting of the title word "Dragula" is an amazing hook that would have elevated the shit out of this, already great, track. Seriously impressed.
  • @EvanVincent.
This dude is a straight up pro. He just did a one-take and its utterly incredible.
