If you gain weight and people still find your face pretty, then you're REALLY attractive

I've experienced this personally. I've never been skinny, but at a BMI of 21.5 I had a very attractive face. I was often approached by strangers and given compliments about my face by people I didn't know or didn't know well when out. At a BMI of 27 I am now very much below average in appearance, my face lost all definition. I do look like a different person now that I'm overweight, and I am also treated completely differently too. People are just nicer to those that they perceive as attractive, without them even realising it I bet.

This video was more of a motivation video than most fat loss motivation videos out there.

I've always said that most people can be attractive as long as you stay in shape, come off as intelligent, and carry yourself with confidence.

Can you do an analysis of how straight hair vs wavy/curly hair suits a person's features? That'd be nice.

As an Asian, most of us need to have super low body fat in order for our facial bone structures to show. On the other hand, I see a lot of Caucasians with very contoured & slim-looking faces due to prominent bone structures even when they have relatively high body fat. Hence why you see these plus-sized models with decent-looking faces even when their bodies have like... 50% body fat

You can say beauty is "only skin deep" or "in the eye of the beholder" but even if it's only subconsciously, someone's weight and attractiveness makes a significant difference in how we perceive and regard them as a person. Not by choice necessarily, but by instinct or human nature -- again, subconsciously. For better or worse, looks really do matter.

When I was in high school I weighed 115 pounds. I was always complimented on my facial structure. Fast forward to my 20s and i ballooned up to 170…I lost all my attractive features. I lost 20 pounds recently so I’m down to 150 now and my face looks soooooooo much better.

Stay in shape as much as possible, NEVER let yourself go especially as you age.

Can you talk about how stress, anxiety and mainly depression does to our face/beauty please? Cheers
  • this is probably the GREATEST WEIGHT LOSS Video i ever watched . And it defintely motivated me to EXERCISE more, Lose Weight, Eat Healthy & Stay in Shape pretty much FOREVER

I noticed this at work. I worked at a gas station, and in the beginning I was about 8-10kg too heavy (according to my BMI) and the other girls would talk about how they got hit on. Never happened to me. Then I began working out, lost kg and suddenly it was almost a nightly occurrence. It was the only change I made.

The thing is you can have low body fat percentage and your face can still not look defined for some people.

Age is a huge component in this discussion, though. Most of these examples are young people. A little extra weight for older people can be helpful to reduce wrinkles. Both my mother and my aunt lost a lot of weight recently and while they feel better in general it also aged their faces like 15 years and they feel very conflicted about it.

I used to be in the 140lbs when I was going into high school. I’d say it was a perfect weight for my height at the time and you could definitely see my facial structure a lot better. Then I started taking antidepressants when I was in junior year and I was nearly 210lbs by the time I graduated high school. I’m finally back to 170lbs and working back down to 140lbs after 4 years of being graduated now. When I was at my heaviest I looked like a COMPLETELY different person. My face was incredible fat looking back at photos it’s almost like I wasn’t aware of how different my body was until I started losing the weight and looked back on the photos.
  • My face became prettier, softer and more feminine and youthful when I gained pregnancy weight. I'm realising now that it isn't just "pregnancy glow" but facial fat gain that improved my face.

I sadly have been overweight since childhood and have only started to lose weight properly at 22. I feel robbed of it but seriously emphasis never let yourself go because losing weight is really difficult
  • I believe a fuller face makes a person look a lot younger. A slimmer face looks slightly more mature
  • @kinglong5726
I actually think I look better with a fuller face. I have an angular face and when I get too skinny, I look awkward. I have big features on a small face. I think the rule in this video doesn't apply to all faces. It mostly applies to people with naturally rounder faces.
  • This is a little off topic, but your voice is so soothing and especially when you chuckled at 4:13 it was so attractive. Made me smile.
